I am new to working at home (trying). I recently lost my job and SC is in an unemployment crisis right now so there is really no other option for me. I have to make this work before my children and I lose everything. I was just turned down by Alpine Access because my credit isn't good (married young and dumb, paying for it now!). I aced their tests and virtual calls but I was still turned down. Is there any hope for me anywhere?!? I'm getting borderline desperate! Any advice is appreciated.

There is a lot of online at home stuff you can do without having to go thru a credit check although it's not a 'real job' kind of thing.
In fact there are very few on line 'jobs' that pay an hourly wage, etc, except for places like Alpine Access, West, etc...
I would encourage you to do some research on work at things you see in the signature links on the forums as that way, if you have questions you can ask questions thru the forum or directly to the owner of the site.
You will find that many are making money with affiliate marketing and most have some sort of info for you to look at thru our sig links - and quite a few are in some sort of home business or other and will be happy to help you understand how that works...
Just understand that making money on the internet takes time, especially if you are new to whole thing. It will not happen overnight - or not in most cases anyways!

Hi 2athome,
It sounds like you need money right away.
If you have writing or coding skills you can freelance.
Otherwise I suggest that you keep applying for a traditional hourly job.
As mountain pointed out, starting your own biz takes time and wouldn't meet your immediate needs. It's a good plan to do it on the side and see if it takes off, but you can't count on it as a near future savior.
You can check out sites such as elance.com or Google "freelance jobs" and similar.
Good luck,

Hello 2athome,
I'm sorry to hear that you are going through a tough time right now. As Newbie Shield said, working as a freelancer is probably your best option right now.
Depending on your skill set, you can pick up work almost right away. There are thousands of legitimate projects in categories including programming, web/graphic design, data entry, admin support, accounting, article writing and much more.
Get together your resume and anything else that helps validate your competancy. Create an impressive profile and bid on as many projects as you can.
As it so happens, I've dedicated a site to this type of information
Good luck and don't panic. You'll pull through this.
Best wishes!

SC is getting worse by the day. Our unemployment commission almost ran out of money last week cuz of politics! It's not fair to those of us who are tryn!

Hi 2athome,
Good for you and best of luck.
While we are able to offer leads and tips for hourly jobs and bid projects, our forte is home business.
Once you have been able to stabilize from your bid projects and are ready for something else, feel free to come back and learn about running a website to make money online.
Keep us posted about your luck with Elance and similar,

Sorry, to hear about the situation that you are going through. But there are serveral online opportunites that you can get involved with to start making money online from home with out having good credit. Some range from thousands of dollars to get started all the way to $0. Just search around and do what you feel is best for you.
Whatever you do NEVER GIVE UP! Life is too short to fail. Stay positive and keep on pushing and you will do fine.
Brandon
