Hi everybody, I bought the Profit Lance recently and I'm very happy with the opportunites it presents. There's loads of information and I'm sure that through persistence everything will become much clearer.
For now I am a little puzzled by Clickbank. I have created an ID and I have entered it in the "Edit Account" folder on the Profit Lance site. I understand that Profit Lance has set up some links which I can use immediately (ie thebestbizreview.com). Do these links work through Clickbank? If so, how would I get paid through these links? In the Clickbank Account Settings, do I need to put any information apart from the required name, address, and phone number to receive payment? In other words, do I need to input a hoplink target URL, or add a product?
Thanks in advance

Hi and welcome to the forum.
I've used Clickbank but not PL, so I can't help you with your specific question. There are other PL members here so someone will come along soon and explain things to you, I hope.
As far as the Clickbank side of things, you shouldn't need to add anything other than the info. they are asking for payment. When you create your hoplinks for whatever product you promote, Clickbank automatically tracks it for you and credits your account when payment is made.
Be prepared to wait a while for your first check unless you make a lot of diverse sales. You have to have at least 5 different sales and they have to be on different types of credit cards for some reason - the strangest set up I've seen. Paypal doesn't even count as one of the cards. At any rate, once you finally reach your first payment requirements, you should not be under those restrictions.
Enjoy the experience, Angie

I must be out of the loop I only made a couple of sales with my first endeavours in to online marketing. I requested a pay out and received a cheque in the post a couple of weeks later (as I am in Australia). They must have changed their policies since then.

shallie: They must have changed their policies since then. Maybe. How long has it been? I don't know when they implemented it, but I know that is still currently what they state in their payment policy.

My experience is the same as Angie's. I was daunting and I almost gave up. But once that first check came...BOOM!

Very new to internet madness and have a question about clickbank. Now, if you have a website you sell products from and clickbank is the go between and the product is $25 let's say then clickbank charges $49 (I think) their fee, don't you wind up in the hole? Then after clickbank($49) fee you sell another product say $30 what does clickbank charge for the sell of that product? It's all confusing to me, maybe it's supposed to be so I can't figure out what's going on. Can anyone clarify, anybody in here work for clickbank or used to? Am I on track at least?

Clickbank resells the product for you, the publisher usually offers a commission of 50% or more to affiliates.

Clickbank charges a $49 set-up fee if you want to start selling through them.
That's a one-time fee for each product that you want to sell. After that, they will charge $1 + 7.5% every time a sale is made.
So on a $30 product you would have to pay Clickbank $3.25...
$1 + (.075x30) = $3.25
This is deducted from the sale of the item itself so you're credit with the remain which is $26.75
Hope that helps!

Thanks for the help. Does clickbank charge the $49 fee even if you haven't sold anything or does that charge start after you sell something. I signed up with them not knowing what I was doing but never sold anything. What happened was I bought the Average Joe Income Package not through clickbank, but through my Paypal. In the ajip he instructed me to sign up with clickbank so I did but didn't know what I was doing(I'm a newbie) as I went along I figured out the ajip was confusing and outdated so I complained to clickbank and they refunded my money back into Paypal. Now I wonder if I got charged the $49 even though I never sold anything and didn't know what I was getting into. What do you think?

Sonni,
Signing up with Clickbank is free. It's only charged when you're setting up to sell a product through them. And to do that, you'll have to submit information about your product such as price, download URL, and such. You'll also have to get approval before you can sell. The $49 set-up fee is for this.
If you just signed up with Clickbank as an affiliate then you don't pay anything.
In this case, I don't think you need to worry about the $49 charge.

Thanks for the help. I suppose I'm still signed up as an affiliate since I didn't cancel it. I'm still interested in affiliate marketing and am researching so that I can hopefully avoid getting scammed before I learn the ropes, if that's possible. At this point I think it pays to spend time analyzing and asking questions. I'm grateful to have found this forum it has helped a lot.
