Hi Everyone,
Its been a while since I've been hear, and I haven't been able to put much time into my campaign cause I am working on a project. Anyway I seemed to be doing well, seeing returns and albeit modest, things seemed to be building. But now its gone pretty quiet out of the blue. Any ideas?
The other thing, as someone who used to sell directly in the offline market, I have been using the measuring yard of every 100 targetted visitors, you should get around a 2% return. Does this seem about right, or is it different on the online world?
Another thing I am wondering about, I haven't quite figured out how targetted my traffic is. What are the best ways to find this out. I don't find that looking at my logs give me enough info.
Thanks, Birdgirl

Hi Birdgirl
Depending on how frequent you update your site or what methods you are using to get traffic can determine your organic traffic. For inisance if you did article marketing to get your site more backlinks and some of those articles were 1 & 2 spots on google, over time other articles on the same matter may have pushed your articles further down the google hit list decreasing both your backlink ranking and your hits from your articles. Also you may want to update your site more frequently.
For targeted traffic you should really take a look at your log and check your "recent came froms" this will show you how people are getting to your site. If your recent came from is from unrelated forums or sig lines the traffic is probably not all that targeted. Or if you are usuing a traffic exchange the traffic is not going to be the greatest.
The 100 hits yard stick is great if you get the correct targeted traffic, if not then it can be very, very misleading as well as ver discouraging.
Does that help?

I stand with Opendomains the 100 hits yard stick rule will hinge on targeted traffic for your particular business. A niche targeted traffic could produce more then 2%, however it has to be highly targeted. Anything less will produce less results. Wishing you all of success
