I've spent the last two months promoting The Profit Lance Lance System and I haven't come close to sell it to anyone. I'm not saying it's a bad system or anything like that but it's not working for me. Since I've paid for the course, I use it for other things such as My Power Mall. The Profit Lance course is amazing once you get it. The problem is you no I can't sell it. So I'm going to stop trying and spend my time promoting My Power Mall.

I started promoting PowerMall but didn't have much success because EVERYONE already had one because it was FREE and you really do not make a lot of money unless you sign up thousands of people. But maybe you will have better luck than I did.

I'm beginning to come to the conclusion that the online business thing is just a lot of smoke and mirrors that draws suckers like me into the theatre of get rich quick scams. It seems like everybody and everybodys brother has the formula to make me rich.
But all I'm doing if I buy their bag of tricks is making them rich by falling for those fake testimonials and earnings screenshots.
I'm pretty sure you right about My Power Mall and I thank you for being up front about it. But a least it's free and if I fail at it, all I'm losing is time. One of these days, I might even write an article or a blog warning people not to fall for those online money making systems.

Believe me when I got the course I was extremely optimistic. I've promoted PL all over the U.S, Canada and Europe. I've stayed up into the wee hours of the morniing submitting to tons and tons of SE's, directories plus I've posted on various classified sites such CraigsList. The good news is I'm getting plently of visitors, but no one is buying.
When I go to bed, I have hopes that I will wake up to a least one sale, only to be disappointed when I do get up and on my laptop. They say only 3 per cent of people succeed in this business.
Well I don't think that I will be listed among the 97 per cent who do succeed. Apparenty you are doing well on the course, so at least you one of the 97 per cent or you're well on you way there.
I really believed that I could make this thing work. But that day dream is coming to an end. I tired of devoting so much time and effort into something and getting nothing in return.
Let me conclude by thanking you and all the other wise folks on this forum for giving me advice and encouagement the past two months.
Good Luck to you all.

That right there tells me one of two things. 1. You're not selling the right thing 2. The thing you are selling you're not selling correctly or perhaps could use a revamp.
Believe it or not TRAFFIC is the hardest thing IMHO to get. Sales is a game of numbers. If you get enough people to see something eventually someone will buy...assuming you are getting the right type of traffic.
Send me a PM with your site I would love to check it out.

What traffic sources do you recommend, other than traffic exchanges?
Thanks

I'm sure all home businesses take some time, effort, and patience. My attraction to My Power Mall is the fact it is free, so you're not risking anything ... that alone makes it worthwhile to try.
I find Power Mall awesome with its drive to help people. Not only those trying to succeed, but those in need as well. I entered Power Mall "expecting" it to take quite some time to build, but I love the potential it has and the purpose behind it (helping children, non-profit organizations, etc.) ... that alone keeps me attached!
Find what you believe in and have a passion for, and the growth will follow!!

duckbird - I was thinking I would sign up for PL this week and I see another post from you about how frustrating it is for you. I'm just trying to decide if I'm willing to lose $77 if I'm unable to put the time in needed or if I don't succeed. We had a big money talk this weekend at home b/c it's pretty bad right now. I want to help us out but not have to pay $$$$$ for daycare making it almost pointless to be at work in the first place. Anyway, long story... but I'm looking for a way to bring in some extra $$. But you have me concerned. And yes, MPM is not a get rich thing by any means. It has the potential but still requires promoting it.
4u2nv - I am not finding that everyone already has a mall, I'm finding people afraid to take a risk free chance b/c of all the bad internet scams out there. They just can't grasp that this is free and that it CAN work.

If you only stuck to one product to start with, you wouldn't have spent so much time promoting so many at once. Start with one product and don't even bother submitting your site to different search engines. The only one you should really care about is google. Try to get indexed into google and write a few really good articles to ezinearticles with your link at the bottom. Submit to some free online directories (under 50) per day and after time you should see your blog start to climb in the search engines.

Duckbird as an experiment set up a blog concentrate on one product that you know a lot about and think highly of. Don't spend more than an hour on it a day (even if its 5 minutes here and there)so if it fails you haven't totally wasted all your time.
Then everyday add a little to it, submit to a couple of directories and every month or so write a couple of articles and see how it goes. It may not work but if it does then at least you will feel you would have achieved somethings
THis is just an idea don't feel you have to do it.

Duck,
Don't give up. Do what Hemjoe and Make say. Hang in there, cut way down on the number of clickbank products you are promoting, and create a free blog.
Finish ALL of your PL studies. Be contented in that for a couple months. Type a bit in your blog and/or on your sites. Remember, you have to track and tweak over time. You know it takes time.
Yes, Power Mall was a good choice. Hey, who did you sign up under? It's a good mid to long term play and it won't cost you anything.
Keep learning from this forum. Ask questions. Keep doing what you have been doing with a few changes. Let Open Domain help you.
I'm happy with my Power Mall downline in 17 days of promoting. I'm done promoting it forever. I now have 34 in my downline and the downline is building itself at a good rate. I am now promoting web space :)
Hey, I've had a new signature link file for super cheap web space with a ton of extras for 24 hours. I've had no sign-ups. Should I be like you and quit? You know that Newbie Shield never gives up on the force!

Duck,
You're welcome. Have you considered creating some kind of humor site in addition to your other experiments? I've seen you drop some good, original lines here and there. You might really enjoy that.
Did you see that eBook spoof that getagrip posted? That strikes me as a nice inspiration for you

The problem may be you're trying to compete with tons of other marketers in the most competitive niche market.
Profit Lance is great but the purpose isn't for you to buy and turn around and promote it as a business opportunity. Profit Lance gives you the knowledge you need to do market research to find niches in which you can use what you learn to make money. The same information in Profit Lance is responsible for the success of many.
Building and sustaining a business takes time, money, or both. Don't expect to have money pouring in overnight. Chances of that happening is slim. However, chances of making any money at all is none if you don't take action.
If you have little money, be prepared to spend a lot of time.
Use the information in Profit Lance to venture in other niches instead of promoting the course itself. If you don't have a decent size list or don't have a relationship with someone who does, it's going to be tough trying to compete in the business opportunity niche.

Thanks but PL was just one of the many things I'm trying to promote. To which I've been told, I'm promoting too many things. Which is good advice I wish I had known sooner. It looks like nothing is going to happen with my online adventure right now so I guess I'll just wait for a year or two to get established. It looks like it going to take that long. I know money can be made, but it just takes folks like me a little bit longer.
Who knows one day instead of getting one or two visitors a day, I'l be getting thousands of visitors a day along with a vast number of sales.

webizreviews - sorry you were not able to get into our links for MPM the other day. I have to say I've only experienced a problem once since joining in august. Must have been just one of those times. Don't take that as a sign that they have a bad sight or anything. They're doing a great job. Try again!

Quoting: webizreviews And by the way, seems powermall has issues at moment, Mon. 10/22/07 at 4:49 p.m. I clicked your link, and after over two minutes, page is still loading.
Quoting: webizreviews Same goes for moneyforgreene's link, neither one will load at moment for me.
Things like that happen from time to time. I had no problem with either site. Both were quick loads for me.

Try to remember it not alot of traffic alone that will make conversions. It is TARGETED Traffic that will do it.
Try different keywords in your articles/posts/blogs etc...
Research and figure out exactly WHO your TARGET traffic is and drive them to your site.
I could drive 10,000 people to a maternity store for example, but if the traffic is all old, retired men, how many sales will I make? I would need to target pregnant women etc...
To your success,
Michael

Yes, the site has to appeal to a specific market. If you don't cater to them in your writing, you won't get any clicks.

Been There Duckbird.. I feel ya I have tried every thing you could imagine online for trying to make a profit it is tuff and there are lots of peeps doing what your doing .. I have been hackin away at it for 10 years and everytime I think the heck with it aint worth my time I end up spending a weekend scouring the net for new ideas.
I know its been said a million times But Find sumtin you really enjoy doing ie golf . rock collecting , skiing any thing. and write small articles or post to forums , blogs and sites relevant to your passion and use there traffic to get your links to the world and steer them back to your site or page use adsense and affiliate links on your pages just be sure to try and update as often as you can..
My passion is Fishing in Bass tournaments. I constructed a simple site for my home page with my other links and some adsense I post to forums and have created a few articles that I built around an adsense single page layout . Now believe me my adsense earnings are not getting me rich but I am now havin fun with my internet ventures and not trying to promote every ebook and softgood that comes along .. I use only adsense and Hyper Vre
good luck to ya and keep pluggin away
