Quoting: Hemjoe how good is wealthy affiliate and will i be able to read the course within a month as i can only afford one months subscription
You can definately get a lot out of WA in a month. However, if you can only join for a month, I think the main benefit to you would be utilizing the forum, rather than the tutorials...of course, the tutorials will give you a new perspective on things, although you will already be familiar with some of the material.

Also...if you do decide to join Wealthy Affiliate, make sure to do it when you have lots of TIME - at least a couple of hours a week. There is no such thing as "get rich quick" - you have to make time to learn new things, interract with others, and implement what you have learned.

I don't know anything about either WA or PL, or for that matter how these affiliate programs work? Which is better?
Do you need to have your own products to promote - or not?
How do they work? What do you do with affiliate programs? I want to have some idea about it before I get involved.
Been scammed twice before, as everyone else, and kind of leary about trying something else.
Is anything out there better than affiliate programs that actually do work and you make decent money?????????

Affiliate programs are profit sharing programs which allow you to earn commissions for product sales you refer to company websites.
For example, let's say you have a website that promotes skiing equipment online. Each company you promote pays you a 10% commission on all product sales that are generated through your website. So, if someone places a $300 order for skiis through your link, your commission would be $30.
Its not necessary to have your own product, because you can promote products that belong to specific companies. It is free to sign up for most affiliate programs.
You can earn good money from affiliate programs, but there is a definate learning curve, and there is lots of competition for many industries. You have to learn about things like how to generate traffic, how to build a website, and how to find niches (although a website isn't absolutely necessary).
These are just some of the basics. Don't worry about getting "scammed", but realize that you will have your work cut out for you.

I have PL and WA I think they are both very good. I can not say one is better than the other, I think that they are both good. That is IMO..... Yeh WA has the forum and the other tweeks. but, really I use the info I am not really there to get chummy with the members. Sometimes it is a distraction the goal is to make money. Don't get me wrong I like making friends. I can go to any forum that is a make money online forum and learn just as much.... The WA forum is just private.....For WA members.. Same Quality~content IMO... But, at this point I want to be a skilled internet marketer first and foremost. I like that Mike is always there for me when I am struggling. Just like WA members are there for you...l So, IMO bottom line I think that it is a personal prefrence. They are both good products....

One thing I'll add to what JCP said about internet marketing - and this relates to what I said above about the learning curve - is that it is easy to want to quit intenet marketing.
You are thinking, "I've been at this for a month, and I haven't earned a dime!", and then you head over to the "General Success" section of the Wealthy Affiliate forum...and you read about someone "finally" making their first sale, and then someone else making their 4th sale, and then someone else earning their first $100 day, and someone else earning their first $1,000 month, etc.
Then you think to yourself, "if others can do this, I can do this", and before you know it, you are making a forum post about your first sale...and another post about your fourth sale....and another post about your tenth sale, etc.
Internet marketing can be brutal - you need all of the encouragement and support that you can get!

I totally agree with getagrip, he has outlined one of the key reasons why people fail and that is because they think making money online line is like taking candy from a baby, well it isn't you do have to take a learning curve and you will start off earning pocket change but as time pass you should start to generate the sales you are looking for and make the money you hard work deserves.

Yep, getagrip is absolutely right. It really can be brutal and sometimes you might want to give up. Don't though! Believe in yourself.

AMEN!!!!!!!!
The one and MAIN reason and one of the BIGGEST downfalls that people make when they begin Internet Marketing is that they think that they can just buy a course and do steps 1, 2 and 3 and WHALLA~ I am rich.
With anything in life, you will get out what you put into it. We live in the INSTANT gratification society and the Microwave mentality.
Honestly, ~People will throw a google ad out there and think that they will make a ton of money.... I hear people all the time say that "I have spent $300 on adwords and I am not making anything." I tell them, NEVER in the beginning pay for advertising ~> before you have developed any kind of real skill. Take it slow...... You need to know what you are doing, then do a little...
IMO If you start out with the right mentallity, that you are going to work hard, go slow and dedicate several hours a day to train and gain the skills into it becoming an effective marketer, with the right mentality you are going to learn... A person can NOT start out internet marketing and think it is going to be the answer to all of their money problems, your money probems did not happen over night. So why would solveing the problem be over night?
Giving up so easily is the reason people fail. You have to have the drive to MAKE IT WORK IMO~ Peristance, is the key!!!!!!

You guys seem to have some good advice here. I'm so confused. I made a little money with gifting on my LuckyRon website. I started that way because it was the cheapest way I could find. Now I got into Income4beginners and I'm not doing to well with it. I'm looking around and I keep running into PL and WA they both seem very popular. I'm also getting a lot of Emails from Yanik Silver and his training seems very expensive. Then there is Jason Ryan Isaksen and his package seems completely done for you. There are some warnings that only the creators of these programs make money. Maybe that's what I want to do, create my own. Everyone wants me to pay them. I know there is a learning curve here and I don't mind spending the money I already made with my first website I just don't want to waste alot of time. If money wasn't a factor what would be the best way to set up a solid internet marketing campaign?

Hi Ron,
It doesn't matter how much or how little money you have. You can start out at IM using free methods and then once you have learned the ropes a bit move on to PPC.
Even then, PPC does not have to 'cost' you anything. I have NEVER lost a dime at PPC. I learnt things (slowly in my case) the WA way.
At the end of the day it comes down to this:-
1. Find a hungry niche (a group of people with a desperate desire or need) 2. Find out exactly what they want and why. 3. Then sell it to 'em using their language.

At the end of the day, it does come down to that!
Both Wealthy Affiliate and Profit Lance has the information you need to make money. It depends on how and how much you want to pay for it. You want to make a one-time payment of $77 or a monthly payment of $29/month?
There are advantages in both choices. It really depends on the type of person you are. If you have to pick one, do so and then...
...take action...and repeat...

that is one of the reasons why i chose the profit lance course however apparently you can just pay that once and you should in that month gain plenty of information but yet to investigate this.

Well...looks like Mike from Profit Lance never changed the website which was "borrowed" from Wealthy Affiliate like he said he would, and I just found out that he was promoting Ultimate Wealth Package to Profit Lance members.
Profit Lance actually has more information than the Ultimate Wealth Package, and has gotten a very bad rap from people who purchased it, so that is very lame that Mike pushed it to Profit Lancer members...now I have less respect for him than I ever did.

Getagrip has made some great points there!
Wealthy Affiliate is a very thorough course, which has a weekly schedule, but with Profit Lance you can get a bit confused at first. But PL is a FINE information package!

I agree with all of the positive comments regarding Wealthy Affiliate. It's a fantastic place to learn the whole affiliate marketing game, and I honestly believe that you are only restricted by your own ability to absorb, learn and apply.

I visited both sites and they both seem great but Wealthy Affiliate isn't $30/month anymore. It's now $40/month. Two months in Wealthy Affiliate would be more than what I would pay for Profit Lance.
I don't know....hmmm
I think for a newbie, Profit Lance is better since we need time to read, take action, make mistakes, and learn from our mistakes. This would probably take months to accomplish. All these months could add up for a newbie in Wealthy Affiliate ($40 x no. of months). That's a lot of money to spend on a learning curve!
Wealthy Affiliate seems great but I think a newbie should get the hang of things before committing to $40/month.

Hey everyone, new here.
I'm gald I decided to read this forum because I was trying to decide whether to sign up with profit lance or wealthy affiliate and it helps to read other people's comments. I recently got my money back from another program that was $47 because it was definitely not for beginners so basically I didn't understand what the heck I was reading in those e-books. So would profit lance or either wealthy affiliate be the way to go if you are a total and complete noob? lol

Does Profit Lance have the research and marketing tools included with the membership like Wealthy Affiliate University?
Wealthy Affilaite is genuine, certainly. Yesterday I read a comprehensive post in the WA Forum about Profit Lance... I am glad I joined WA. Be careful and take your time and research your opportunities. Victoria

I certainly remember that feeling well. I'll send you a private message with a link to some free stuff that helped me clear the fog when I was getting started.
I hope it will help you get a basic understanding so you'll be able to decide what you want to do.
All the best, Angie

The main benefit of Profit Lance are the tutorials. The main benefits of Wealthy Affiliate are the one on one coaching from Carson and Kyle, the expert help you can get from other Wealthy Affiliate members, some of who earn between $500 to $1,000 A DAY online (and in some cases more), and the free tools you can get with your membership, such as Site Rubix, the web design tool, the Competition Spy tool, the Keyword Research tool, and more. Personally, I think Wealthy Affiliate blows Profit Lance out of the water, but that's just my opinion.

getagrip, you make me laugh everytime I read one of your posts. You do have some really good posts though. It's just I have noticed that in almost every post, you really push wealthy affiliate. Those commissions must be great! Anyway, thank you for all your input on this stuff.

I find these sort of attacks funny, it is merely sensationalist propaganda from a WA affiliate.
Even if Michael Andrews did take some ideas from WA, it is just a good business strategy. Microsoft did it with Apple, Bill Gates amazed by the concept assimilated it and took it further, improved it. That is but 1 of a million examples. Maybe that is exactly what Michael Andrews did. Now are you telling me you will stop using any Microsoft services or products because of it? I bet you're on Windows right now. Don't make me laugh.
Now back to topic, Profit Lance and WA are both pretty good, while I find PL a better system, WA does have better support, yet they better have since they get 30 dollars a month per member.
