Riddle me this...
I'm researching making money online and have spent hours reading several reviews, some of which seem ligitimate... others not. PL sounds pretty good at first but there is something that concerns me and I'm wondering if one of you affiliates could explain this:
I typed "the profit lance" into the google search engine to see what popped up and one of the first posts that popped up said "Profit Lance Sucks, Government-Reviews.com, Dont fall for a garbage program like Profit Lance. See what works!" I clicked on this link and it took me to an Average Joe Income Package website that says PL holds no comparison to Ave Joe.
I really dont know anything about Ave Joe and am not interested in it. I was trying to get info on PL. The scary thing is.... the website redirects to a Profit Lance website after about half a second. I had to screenshot the original website to know what it said. Can someone explain why an anti-PL website advertising for a different product auto-redirects to Profit Lance???

I am unsure why the do this my guess is that it is a catch title that makes people click on it as everyone else is saying the profit lance is good so to find someone against it would may change visitors minds, however they are just use the title to send people to the profit homepage and from there they persuaded by the sales copy. Other than this i don't know but from first hand experience i would reccommend the profit lance system and i have a small review on my site (signature) if you want to check it out,
I however don't know much about the average joe package so i can't really help you much on that area. Hope this helps

I think I get your basic drift, although it is hard to make out. However, this still does not answer my question....
The link does not go DIRECTLY to Profit Lance. The Link goes to an Average Joe site for a half second. It is then redirected almost immediately to Profit Lance. If this is some sort of sales technique to get more people to visit the Profit Lance site, then I'd have to say it backfired. That auto-redirect makes it look more like someone hacked an Average Joe link to replace it with their own. This link makes PL look like a possible scam...

i agree and sorry about the previous post io was in a hurry, but yes it does make the profit lance system look like a scam and in you position i would have also been sceptical. I am sorry i am sure what to make of this as i haven't seen it before and in the last post was just my intial idea. If anyone else has any idea on this please let us know. Sorry i couldn't help any more

This has nothing to do with Profit Lance being a scam. In fact, it's quite opposite.
Because Average Joe Income Package is a newer product, the site
owner of Government-Reviews.com wants to promote this product.
But while Profit Lance was released before AJIP and still is popular,
the review site doesn't want to lose sales to this. So he use this
technique to get sales from both.
So don't worry, Profit Lance is definitely not a scam.

Well that's not good. Can html code for auto-direct be written with out the usual "redirection statement" and the time shortened that much? Anything is possible. Ethical is another matter. Perhaps an unhappy Average Joe customer or a hacker pretending to be a PL customer but really trying to create trouble instead which is exactly what this is doing.
I haven't finished the whole program yet but so far all techniques have been well above board and ethical.
I'd like Mike to be aware of this, however.

Hello everybody, I'm Drew, and have viewed this forum some time now looking at all the options.
I recently purchased ProfitLance by accident on eBay, and so I decided to see what I had got hold of by entering my login details, and have been overwhelmed with information.
I have spent today reading all the posts in this forum on PL and have seen your reviews, comments and suggestions.
Like most of you I am new to this experiance, and Ive no idea yet what I can personally earn for myself.
I wanted to know how you get paid, because somewhere I read that clickbank send you a cheque. Well I was hoping that I might get paid via PayPal which is what I use as I don't have a clickbank account?
Anyway I can see it will all take time, and I shall do as the rest of you and learn before I earn.

That is a very good idea and a great caption learn before you earn, anyway, i must say you can set up a click bank account for free and it isn't all that hard it is quick and easy and within not time your account can be ready to receive money. Like you said and you are right iit will take time to learn the basics and implement some of these but your efforts in most cases will be rewarded.

I would like to take a look at the websites where you guys actually sell your money making products. I can only find websites that promote Profit Lance but it says you dont have to make the money by selling PL. I can't find any other product that is being sold though. Can someone tell me where to go to look at these or put the link in your sig?

Profit Lance is different in that it is not required to promote his product to make money. It is actually a course where you can learn how to do these various (adsense, affiliate marketing, etc) sources of income. If you are a newbie it is definetly worth checking out. However, Profit Lance is Mike's product and he has an affiliate program associated with it. It is truly unlike any other work at home and make money schemes. Do a search on google for "Profit Lance" you will find some of these forums and then like the 4th or 5th search result you will see it is from a blog on rommo.net. When I read it there wasn't even a link to sell the product. It does have some screen shots of what you see when you sign up though. there are 3 parts to it and very informative.

Its a very simple website, and profit lance teaches you how to do keyword research so that these simple types of websites rank very well in search engines.

Can i quickly ask how much does this website make you in adsense, i mean i haven't really been that successful with adsense but have tried a little with my blog. I have concentrated more on the affiliate side and had a little success, also how long did it take to to set up the website as i find it hard to find the time. Cheers

Not a lot yet Lol.. It is really new. Like $5.00 a day. It adds up though, when you have 10 of these sites.The point is that profit lance teaches you how to set up these types of websites and I wanted to prove that you can make money other ways than just reselling profit lance and making a commission. I emailed Mike and asked him if he would be able to give us an example of some of his websites, because he makes anywhere from $300-$1000+ per day just from adsense.
The site took me a few hours and thats it. I just took content from articles and made it my own.

Hi wene123 I am equally new to ProfitLance, but the information found from Profit Lance is quite widespread and useful in the course of internet marketing. What Profit Lance do is that it focuses on imparting skills where you can learn and use to sell anything that you want. It's unlike some other programmes where you are only restricted to selling a certain product in order to earn.
Profit Lance teaches you to use skills and tools such as Adsense, Clickbank, Affiliate programme, Blogs, and even writing articles to actually make money. I am starting a blog to detail my progress in Profit Lance. Its still quite "young" as I havent been in Profit Lance very long either. But I am certain that if the tools are utilised well, you will definitely be able to make money through Profit Lance.
Of course it takes hard work. Dont expect $ to fall from the sky automatically. Another thing, Mike Andrews is very eager to help those in his programme and replies emails very promptly. So for those who are still wondering if this is a scam, you don't need to worry. I think this is the best programme available on the net at present, which actually helps you learn through practical exposure and practice.

The information you need to know to make money online is all there in Profit Lance. As others have mentioned, it does take time to read, absorb, learn, and it will also take work to make things happen.
You're not going to make lots of money just by purchasing Profit Lance. However, if you persistently and consistently take action by following what you learn you will make money. How much you make varies and no one can tell you.
I'm sure there are people making quite a bit of money each month but isn't willing to share their site. Why? Too many copycats. The key is picking the right product to sell to the right market. You may not hit it big in the first few tries but if you're persistent you will find your goldmine one day.
When that day comes, I doubt that you will share with anyone either.

hey all, im a recent member of ProfitLance, and i havnt got too much bad to say about it yet. i have just been looking thorugh all of the introductory material and videos withing the cource and am not an affiliat of Profit Lance.
The only thing that i can say aginst the product atm is that the videos, especialy the introductionary ones are very unprofessional. although the information they hold is good, it is not presented very professionaly, however this is not a great mark against the product as a whole.
also, i was wondering why there is not an inbuilt Profitlance member forum, this is a little dissapointing, thats why i went looking for one  .
all in all, i am pleased with the product and am looking forwards to learning a lot more about internet marketing.

Well after reading all these comments and doing my own research I finally decided to buy the system. Like most of you said I feel lost. I have read almost everything on the members website but still have no clue on how to start making money. I would truly appreciate if someone can explain to me in a short and straight to the point way how to make money.

The first thing you should do is decide what kind of a marketer you want to be. Do you want to promote other peoples products, create your own, do you want to create web sites with content, and use ad sense........ What are you personally intrested in etc.....
I suggest, sign up at click bank first...
Slowly read thru the course, and and grasp the premise of the course. Decide where to start, and where you want to start. Get a plan and chart a course. Do ONE thing at a time. Don't do to much at first. Making money online, is a skill that Must be learned and mastered. Yeh, you can make money QUICK, but, it is like anything. You get out what you put into it. The world wide web is GINORMOUS, (that is my word, haha) and so are the opportunities. BUT.... Do not believe the ~LIE~ that you don't have to know what your doing, or that it takes little time.
With that in mind~ Get your plan, and use this AWESOME course to gain the knowledge you need to become a WISE internet marketer.

i can some it up in four words "learn before you earn" it is great to go diving in but that way it is easier to get caught out. My advice is similar to JCP and that is to learn the basics the implement that and then try something harder. Doing it in stages breaks it down and makes it easy organize and learn. Like JCP said read through the course and then try going through the projects and see what happens. Good luck

Hi,
In one of my other posts I said I was a little lost & stuck at the niche analysis stage. This is still true but perhaps not too much.
The Profit Lance course is pretty comprehensive something things I've had to read / view 3 or 4 times to get the message.
I dont thing think this is a problem with the course itself but rather my inability to see how I can apply what I am learning.
It would be easy to be discouraged because the course does not say do A B C etc = $000's.
But the harsh reality is there is no such 'magic solution'.
When I started out I thought it was just a case of design, a nice page, do some keyword optimisation and eventually I would make some money.
That may still be a valid approach but it is hard to sell a 'new' idea.
My new way of looking at things is to look at what products are available via Clickbank and Commision Junction etc and see which ones are in subject areas I have some knowledge about.
This might the basis of a quick start strategy.
My other strand is to try and find out what people want for example by looking at Yahoo answers to see what sort of questions people ask.
I've been using Pcs for years but I'm not particularly technical, but when I see a question on Yahoo answers like 'What is defragmenting' like I did yesterday, I think I could answer that..and if I could write for people who need that level of knowledge I could write a 'top 10 tips' newsletter.
This is not a very good example because there are thousands of people doing it already.
The point I'm making is that if the questions are in areas you know something about they are often very simple.
I sure I saw someone asking how to copy MP3 files to a CD !
In other words I am looking at Yahoo answers to see if there are common strands to pick up on as the basis for creating my own info product.
I have only looked at questions over 2 days and the range of topics is very large, eg makeup, lifestyle, hardware, software questions.

Yes, I'm finally getting some where decent. I mean not just a few hundred a month anymore. I'm now making, well I've made almost $8,000 this month using my review sites and the templates that I got in the Profit lance members area. Yes Yez Yez!
I never thought the whole idea behind reviews work, but it does and it's amazing. I'm only selling 11 different products too. I can't imagine what I'll be making a few months from now, Wow. Actually I can, probably around $15,000 a month.
Now I know I have probably made it sound easy at which it's most likely not for the average person, but that's only because I am consistently at it. What I am saying is, yes I am an average person, but the difference is I keep moving forward.
I set my goals 6 months ago when I wasn't making a penny.
But because I have been persistent and determined to make some god dam money online, I knew it was possible and It Happened!

Hi make money, I just joined pl about a couple of weeks ago. I was just wondering how often they change the material. I really wanted to know how to write a sales page but the intro is the only thing that is posted in the first couple of weeks.
When does the rest of the stuff come?

There is really no set time of when they change the material. Its pretty random. There is a section in there about how to write a sales page.
