HI,
I'm new at internet marketing and using my computer for anything other than sending emails and browsing the web. I'm at the project section under learning the google keyword tool. On the video Mike shows how to find out what other people are paying for their ppc and ad position by clicking on the tab that says "cost and ad position estimates". But when I look for it when I open the plnrc it's not their. I want to use adsense on my sites but want to make sure the ads posted are profitable for me. Does google still offer a free cost and ad position estimates tool? If not does anyone know of another? I feel like once I know what I'm doing I hit a road block, but I'm determined to make this work! Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Primrose

Are you possibly talking about adwords?

Hi Primrose,

Yes, the free keyword tool shows approximate cost for positions 1-3. It's not entirely accurate for various reasons such as relevance, but it gives you an idea.

Better still is to open an Adwords account.

I echo NewbieShield's suggestion of opening an adwords account. You do not need to pay, or start and Adwords campaign, but signing up for Adwords allows you to use their analytics; Just enter your keywords and a PPC amount and it will show you what position this gives you. Simply continue increasing your PPC dollar amount until you see positions 1-3 and you will see what people are paying for the top spots for your keywords.

Hope this helps

Thank you guys for responding so quickly and providing me with the help I need to move forward and have more confidence in doing my keyword search. I will definitely open an adwords account. Like I said before this is all new to me and I'm scared I'm going to mess up by clicking on the wrong buttons. "Ha, Ha," It's great knowing that there's a place I can turn to and get the support and help I need.
Thanks again
Primrose
