Independent or Through Wordpress?

In Day 6 of the 30 Day Challenge, Ed talks about using a Hostgator-hosted domain on Wordpress. Is there any real value to this, or should I remain relatively independent and just use the domain through Hostgator? I hope I've explained myself clearly enough; my head seems a little foggy this morning.

Wordpress is limited to what you can put on your blog if you just use it independently - If I am understanding you correctly anyways. Besides it doesn't cost anything extra to just host it with HG once you have an account... But then again, I am a fledgling yet, with HG(hmmm, did I even spell that right?) so hopefully someone else will get back to you here soon as I want to know more about it myself... edited to fix some more grammar - guess I need some more coffee this morning... __________________ WAH Stuff and my story...
