Hey everyone,
I noticed on the B2B thread that Brian was posting that he had recently used one of the Get up and Go certificates. I would love to hear how the booking went, where he went, how he found it and what the total price ended up being.
Also, for all the directors out there that have used a certificate please use this thread for sharing and include the name of the vendor so we will know who to ask for from the fulfillment center. Thanks so much for sharing. It is great for us that are trying to sell the products and don't feel as comfortable with it yet.
My experience was I had booked an Orlando trip last August through a WWT certificate and they had told me when I booked that I could extend my holiday when I got the confirmation and would also know which hotel I was staying at. When I recieved the confirmation in the mail it was to go to a Welcome Center in Orlando where we would fill out a survey and then get our hotel information. Well as we were driving from Toronto to Orlando with two young children, that did not work for us so I called to cancel -they had taken my money for the kids and the deposit -the kids money was not refunded but after a written letter by express post (for $11) which they could not deliver for 12 days (2-3 days delivery time) I called them and they refunded my money.
So in closing I would not use them for an Orlando vacation but perhaps others have used them for other cities with success?
My second experience was with my Level 2 membership free coastal week certificate which is already activated. I went on their website and was able to find a hotel with suites so I called to book it. The price was $189 a person and $49 each for the kids -total $486 for 1 week at the Celebrity Resorts in Orlando. It was a beautiful suite -just like the pictures on the net (although at first they tried to put us in a minisuite and I went to complain nicely). The pools were great for the kids and although there was no restaraunts on site there was a Perkins within walking distance and a huge Walmart where we did our groceries. We had a full kitchen and a separate bedroom for the adults as the kids slept on the pullout.
I did have a little trouble confirming the booking after they had taken my reservation and money but after a few e-mails with the owner everything worked out fine. My only concern was that I couldn't get a straight answer as to smoking as this was something that we did not want but the room we got was great and no smell. My husband and I were very pleased with the accomodations and would stay there again and upon checkout the only other charges were $7 for the safe for the week. We were never asked once about attending a timeshare presentation either which was a relief as Coastal prizes itself on that fact.
Anyways, I know this was a long post but hoping to hear others experiences. We've got to get this forum hopping again!

Hi Judy,
I have used one of the Condo vouchers from World Wide Travel. I wanted Pauley's Island, SC, but it wasn't available so I got as close to it as I could which meant Surfside which is right below Myrtle Beach. We learned a lot about how to use the vouchers. We stayed at the Myrtle Beach Resort which is a very nice resort right on the ocean. Our room was the last room available at the resort that would sleep 6 so we took it. It had one bedroom and slept six. We though that meant there would be 2 beds in the one bedroom but that wasn't the case. We got there and found just one bed and a pull out couch and 2 cotts. That was ok it just would have been nice to know this. Now, we had to take in consideration that this was the week before July 4th so there were not any other available rooms at this resort or any others that were right on the beach. Like I said, the resort was VERY nice. The rooms were all privately owned which was not relayed to us. This means that each room was not like all of the rest. The one we got was owned by an older couple and was not kept up like most of the others but it was decent and clean. It had a full kitchen and we were ok with the accomadations as a whole but we would have like a little nicer room but we had a good time and that was what mattered.
What did we learn from our experience with this voucher? Always ask if the condos are privately owned by individuals or are they owend by the resort. If they are owned by individuals ask for pictures of the room or ask to speak to the owners to find our exactly what you are getting before you go. The price was a little over $800. It saved us about $600 which was great! We just wish the condo had been a little nicer. We DON'T blame World Wide Travel for this. We just learned a lot about resorts.

It went great!
My wife ordered a get up and go vacation cert, for $6.95 from the Document #6 list.
We stayed at the Patricia Grand Resort Hotel in Myrtle Beach, SC
We had an oceanfront 1 bedroom suite, with 2 double beds, the living room had a double- size Murphy bed, it had a full kitchen, and an oceanfront balcony. There was an on site restaurant, called Chantillys that had a good breakfast for a decent price.
Our cost was $24 for processing, plus $15.04 a night in tax (SC hotel room tax rate is 16.35%); we had the deposit waived. Our total out of pocket was $54.04 . My wife set up the trip while I was out of the country for 6 weeks and she had no problems at all. While making our reservations she also did something else.
She agreed to visit the Wyndham Ocean Boulevard Resort. It is a point/time share, but we got a $50 Dinner Certificate to a popular area restaurant, the House of Blues. She didn't have to do this and she was the one to inquire about it. But she knows that I'm motivated by free food and that I love talking to sales people. I spent 90 minutes on the tour meeting people and getting leads! Also, our Resort Tour representative gave us a $50 Dinner Certificate to the Hard Rock Caf�. BTW, our tour guide is a 7 on the 1-10 scale, while he does his due diligence on CV!
With the $100 dinner certificates, it was like putting $45.94 in our pocket after you deducted the room processing and tax! Good trip!

I have been waiting for someone to call me about a time share for months! Now that I want someone to call, they won't  Before I started Coastal I got those calls all the time. By any chance did you put my name down on the "names and numbers of the people you know" list? lol

Do You Use Your Membership Cards?
I shared this story recently with some friends and associates on a call.
My family (teenagers) use the Dining Access card weekly. They love eating at a place called, Qdoba Mexican Grill. They are on a 1st name basis with everyone there. The managers honor 2 coupons a visit from them. My kids invite their friends and just hang out and eat a good meal. They go at least twice a week and they really don't have to pay for anything. They do split the cost with there friends, but it's a 50% meal coupon they use. I have a girl and a boy, one eats like a bird and the other is eating for an army. I did the math and they are saving between the both of them $30 a week, so they only had to eat there something like 44 weeks and that would be equal to the cost of a National/lvl 1 package. We are closing in on that number. 
They are both out tonight, where? Eating and then 1 is going to play paint ball, 50% off and the other is going ice skating, 50% off. I'm baby sitting the dogs & cats!
Hey, if you are with coastal, use your package. Heck, print out a coupon for Dinner and give it away. Who doesn't like free food?

Yes, I find it very easy to give away travel certificates to anyone. They will have time to think about it before they redeem it.
When you pay only pennies on the dollar for your travel, who woundn't like it?

Hi,
I bought my package last year and I understand that there are two free vacations included that expire after one year, but I don't see any vacation with an expiry date. Which are these vacations? Can anyone tell me also untill when I can activate my package, is there a time limit?? I also want to know if someone has used their Coastal Cruise Card and if you really get a discount with Royal Caribbean and Carnival.

If I am understanding you right, your vacation certificates can be activated at anytime. Once you activate a vacation in your package it will usually be dated. Also, what Level package did you purchase?
I know others have more experience then I have, and sure they will add what they know.
I have myself not experienced the cruise card. But, I do try to activate a vacation or 2 once a month. This helps to have the experience on how the process works. Also, I can have these on hand if I need to give to a charity, or someone might want to use one. Good idea as I learned from others to get a testimonial.
One more thing, you just have to renew your cards once a year.
If you haven't been on a product call, look at the official coastal site to get the number to call in each week. You will also learn about updates this way as well.

Hi Paulette,
I bought package level 1, but I understand that I have to activate the package. A member living in the U.S has to pay $25 to activate the package and outside the U.S. $30, but I didn't do that as yet and that's what I want to know if there is a time limit to do that, because they say that when you activate the package than the cards will be activated the first year free. I'm not living in the States, I'm from Curacao and I think I'm the only one here on the island that has buy this package because no one has ever heard of Coastal Vacation. I want to know if you can really use all the vacations in the package, because everybody I speak with about Coastal, don't believe me so that's why I want to start using a few vacations to show my friends that it's real.

You do need to activate the package, it's not just activating, but assigning your member number so you can use the vacations. Each time you activate a vacation you need that member registartion done and active. Yes, to use the cards and get the cards for Level 1 you need to do this. Each year we do have to renew the cards, this also gives us any added cards as well.
I am sure you can still do this Naida.
