I know there has been alot of talk about a Coastal Testimony website. I believe someone in the forum mentioned making one in the past. Is that site available ? If it is available is it a straight Coastal site that any and all can use to promote Coastal?
If that isnt the case and there isnt a site for all of us to use I volunteer to get the ball rolling to create one. I know there is a site with Coastal receipts I think someone from the CWB built. Its awesome and I thank them as it has closed many deals for me. Id love to give back myself. Anyone interested in contributing to such a site let me know.
Here are some guidelines
1- There will be no promoting of any groups whatsoever. It will be a straight Coastal Vacations site.
2- Videos can be no more than 3 minutes long.
3- You must send correspondence you agree to the video being used on the site.
I hope to hear from you all soon as to who would like to participate.

Hi Adam,
There is a site, but I don't know who owns it. It also is an older site which could use a refurbishing.
The Coastal Board of Directors are working on this and it should be around soon.

Noreen is right. Maria owns this site and you can contact her to share your story.

Adam, Maria is so sweet and loves to help everyone. Since she does OWN the site, I would contact her directly.

I for one would like to applaud Maria for taken the initiative to start a Coastal testimony site. The BOD should have already had something available to their members. I glad their finally working on this.

Yes, Maria's site is good but there are so few testimonials on there when there should be hundreds (I'm just saying hundreds because she has been in the business the longest of anyone on the forum I believe). I'm not sure when she started it but hopefully through word of mouth we can get at least 25 on there by the end of the year.
I have seen the testimonial link through the official coastal site and most people put this one on their site, however the testimonials are not recent and many Coastal directors are using it.
If big directors like Jay or Jeff don't want to use Maria's site do they have their own for their team's testimonials that could be published for public knowledge?
I for one would love to see more great vacation testimonials and know it would help sell more packages. I asked my director if I could contact some of my team members and find out about their vacation experiences and she told me that all of her 23 sign ups (except me) got into the business as a biz. opp and not to use the product. That's also when I found out that only one of her team have actually qualified as a director. Should have asked those questions before I decided on her and not on one of you knowledgable forum associates.

Judy, this is one of the BIGGEST challenges I have with ANYONE who chooses to purchase a Coastal Membership. My father owned pizza franchises when I was growing up and, guess what we ate ALOT - Pizza!!!
I owned a Cincinnati Style Chili Franchise and guess what....I ate for Lunch and Dinner almost EVERY DAY! Chili!!!!
In my manual, I STRONGLY suggest that each team member use their members withing 60-90 day to get aquainted with the value the membership offers. I can't make them take vacations...but I've got to tell you the ones who have are Very Happy with the value Coastal offers.
I've even got a Director who found that we get discounts on Omaha Steaks.....now that using the membership.
I know another guy who each month used his membership to get his hair cut.
Folks, there's a TON of value....find it and USE IT!!!

I totally agree with Jay.
There is so much more to our package than vacations. I spent the weekend going through the discount cards and there are so many places you can get discounts - I saw bowling - Bowl 1 game get 1 free, Pizza Hut 10% off, Subway $1 off footlong, Chanellos Pizza, Ben & Jerrys, Sonic, Wawa, lots of hotels etc ( and this is just a 10 mile radius of my address) Also I found Planet Hollywood, Hickory Farms, Omaha Steaks, Tony Romas, Jazzercise, Bronx Zoo, Baltimore Orioles and Atlanta Braves, Philadelphia 76'ers just to name a few.....(these were through the Access cards)
Here is a neat thing I found through the Access Cards - MyTravelServices.org Save up to 30% at over 75,000 hotels worldwide!
It is so important that you KNOW your product, it may help you make that sale.

I totally agree, but this is even more reason to have a robust site that details ALL of these great things in one place with constant updates. If this is incumbent on the BOD then who exactly would be the webmaster and update submissions? Jay, since you are on the advisory board, I would love to hear the official line on this. I think this is critical to really exploding a business. I mean, if there is TONS of proof of value here then we can really showcase our fantastic product. And this could really expand our retail sales. Thoughts?

Hi Noreen,
Coastal is working on alot of projects, but must pick and choose which projects to work on. If you've been on the official calls the board has been asking for testimonials...and the presults will be put out in a CD format.

Yes, I know about the CD, but hopefully we can get a link or something to showcase our awsome product. In this day and age, it is nice to have a website to point to.
I understand that there are priorities. However, I do think that showcasing the strentgh of the memberships should be way up there because without such a fantastic product, the business opportunity would be pointless. Newer members may not be able to take full advantage of the membership right away, thus they will not have vacation experience to draw from when talking to prospects. It would be nice to have a BOD authroized resource to point to the collective experiences of the Coastal members.

Noreen that was very well said. I want the BOD to get something together but understand the members of the BOD are all independent business owners themselves and have their own businesses to run. They do a great job of bringing new programs to the forefront but if we need something we should all step up and do what we need to get it done. If we need testimonies lets put them together. I love some of the other sites out there but I want a generic site that links back to no one that all the groups in Coastal can use. As I create webpages as a business im more than willing to put something together. Im working with my team to get testimonies but Id love to have everyones input. Hope to talk to you all soon.

Hello Guys
thanks for the complements....
Wapahm is right, after all these years the only testimonials I have ever seen are the ones from Julie (she has done a lot of traveling) and the ones on my site.
I am always asking for testimonials, it looks like it should be an easy thing, with all of us taking vacations, but I do need pictures and at least some kind of proof of receipt.
It is easy to get earning testimonials...there are plenty of those, but please anyone who would like to add a testimonial (vacation or earning) to the site (I am not capturing names or visitors or anything, feel safe about that) please email me with your details.
It helps everyone
Cheers Maria

That is true Ryan. I even think their might be a feature article about my wife and me on the page. Our goal is to make a generic site. If I was in the call center using the CSG wouldnt be a good fit. But a generic site could help us all that make up Coastal Vacations. Any feedback would be great.

We have some product testimonials on our site under 'Testimonials". I also have the Coastal Testimonials PDF file.
If anyone wants it, just email me and let me know.

I have like 14 personal use testimonials on my site, saving me and my family over $20,000 in 3 years.
Maybe the BOD will have that CD they promised us all by Christmas 2008 or 2009. Don't get your hopes up.
Make your own stories, and then you won't have to depend on anyone or anything else to do it for you.

The product testimonials CD are in the new memberships. If you don't have an updated version - order one from the sales aides dept.

That's great news and I will do just that.
The testimonies are so important to the business IMHO. First of all, for someone who has never heard of Coastal and the fantastic product, it sounds too good to be true. Well, it is not! It is real and that is FACT. However, it is more powerful to have actual proof than to take my word for it. The problem is for the people just starting out, it is impossible to relay personal experience because they have none yet! It is important to be able to point to testimonies of others. Thanks to all who offer their own experiences.
Having said that - get out there and take some vacations!! I know from experience that it is not always easy, but even if it just one vacation a year (for now!!), use your package! AND spend a couple of bucks and activate some trips. Then GIVE them away to family and friends and have them come back with their own experiences and you can tell your prospects your own personal experience and the experinece of your family and friends. Keep the receipts!!

As a Coastal Director who has tried about everything and is still struggling to get people to see the value, I too would appreciate a location to direct prospects to where they can see the wonderful values. People SEE the value but don't always BELIEVE it! As others have said, some of us are trying to get our business up and running and are not able to take many vacations yet. I am using my package whenever possible, though. Access cards are great and I have received great discounts on the Golfers Network card and Golf Access. It is wonderful to be able to use these discounts expecially when out with friends....shows them how much they can save with the package. Be sure to investigate the discounts available right where you live. You will be pleasantly surprised! Nancy Cagley Coastal Director [email protected]

Some will see it, some won't. I don't personally try to get anyone to see the value. I work with the folks who see the value.
Remember...Don't Sell!
Hope this helps.
