FYI - I have checked into availability on about 9 different downtown hotels in Nashville for sleeping rooms for the National Coastal Convention, Sept 7-9, 2007, preferably using a Coastal discount Card. All of them are full.
Anyone know of Hotels near to the convention center with room.
Please, don't say... "check the ... hotel" unless you KNOW it has rooms.
I have called almost off of them... no room at the inn.

They were nearly booked when the Convention was initially announced. I began checking right away and couldn't find anything. There must be a lot going on that weekend.
Although I really love Nashville, I hope they'll move it back to Disney in the spring. It's a little easier to get to. (Just my opinion...)

FYI for those who were not with Coastal.
A few years ago the September event had to be cut short due to a hurricane. They changed the schedule so as much as possible could be done, but the Sunday part of the event was canceled and MANY were locked in their hotels, Disney went several hours without power.
Yes, it's a risk we take when taking a trip like this during hurricane season, but as we all know...we can schedule events around this challenge...besides, there are ALOT of great places to see.

For those of us who are totally unable to attend the event should be able to buy the Cd, Dvd's that are given out to those in attendance after the fact.

Hi Terri,
Usually those tools become available on the order form found on the fax on demand.

You mean the tools that are given out in Nashville will be available to purchase on the order form? Or do you mean the CD, DVD Coastal presentation CD's?
I was speaking of all the "special" material and tools that will be given in Nashville the rest of us unable to attend will not receive.
From what Scot Chatron said he will be showing a video of how to conduct a seminar or workshop to groups, I have a group of affluent active adults, the manager of the complex asked for me to conduct a " travel night" I would need to see how to conduct one before being able to entertain a large group and to see what materials to provide etc. would love to see what materials Scot will be providing in Nashville. That I am sure will not be available to purchase or I would in a heartbeat. Actually BOD are losing money by not providing select few of the material that they give out at the conventions to the rest of us to purchase.
I have conducted seminars, workshops, and even had booths at trade shows but it wasn't for selling this product, I was selling medical software at that time.
My thought is to use different travel brocures, posters, that I have access to from Joystar travel agency and even invite a vendor from a cruise line or a tour company to join me I think that just may work to have an entertaining travel night for the group. Guess I will do it from a travel agent standpoint the worse that can happen is I will get leads to provide my travel agent services.
