HI all, I just received the newest updates to the packages from NB Management. In it was a Travel Agent Program Order Form. Just wondering if any of you can give me any information about this. Thanks Cathy

Hi Cathy, hopefully someone will jump in here and answer this for you. I haven't seen that form (must be new or it was missing from my pack). I have heard that Coastal is moving away from Intellitravel and towards another agency - but I don't know the details.

If we want to receive the new stuff, what do we do? Send a SASE to NB Management? Has anyone done that because I am not sure how much postage to put on it.

As far as I know Joystar is the Host Travel Agency. I joined JoyStar coastalterri.joystar dot com
Thats what I thought was the host agency before and still is.

HI Noreen,
Looks like the postage is two regular stamps and a 17 cent stamp. I sent for my updates a few weeks ago. The unlimited travel services card was included with it.
The way I understand it. Joystar is $249 and $50 per month.

I just put a SASE for my updates as well. I used 2 US stamps as I am from Canada. I went to the site for the Unlimited Travel Services card and tried to login with the code on the card but didn't get anywhere. It appears to be a funtime and coastal site that you can get the condo card and other stuff from. Has anyone done any of this? I'm just wondering how we use this card. Do we already have access to the stuff on the Coastal part of the site if we are already directors? Does anyone know?
So, if I am understanding people, the travel agent program is the Joystar one? So why do we have to use an order form and send in $10. What is it that we are getting? Is says a Travel agent membership card. Thanks for any help. Cathy

Cathy, that's interesting, I wonder if something changed, and we don't know about it.

This is what I think is going on but please don't sue me if I'm wrong. Funtime will be the new "Travel agent" program for Coastal. I think Joystar was just a "filler" for people who wanted to get into a program immediately. Joystar is a REALLY top notch program from what I can tell. I'm sure Terri will vouch for that BUT they don't give you an IATA card like Inteletravel and Funtime will. If you get to the point of actually selling $5,000 worth of travel Joystar will give you an IATAN card which is the "Mac Daddy" genuine "I'm a sure fire Travel Agent and not a person who has an IATA card with another agency's number on it" card. Don't get me wrong. I have one of those Inteletravel IATA cards but the industry considers companies like Inteletravel and Funtime "Card Mills" so some hotels and resorts don't honor them like real "Travel Agents" because they know you paid for the card and didn't really earn it by selling travel. But, the thing is, I don't want to be a fulltime travel agent. That ain't for me. Too much work and not enough money. I would rather make those big Coastal commissions. Now, someone like Terri can do both because she has the experience as an Agent and that is why Joystar is GREAT for her. If you are like me and just want the IATA card for what ever you can squeeze out of it like an occasional commission from a family member booking on your site or a FAM trip then I would just stick to Inteletravel or the new Funtime travel agent card that I assume will be talked about at the next Coastal Conference.

Hi Cathy,
I had a challenge with this as well. You can goto the Wednesday Afternoon call that Stephanie does and get this question answered right away.
