Hey all,
I'm new to Coastal, and I'm struggling along in my second month, working part time. And I'm glad I ran across this forum, because I have learned alot from reading your posts. You guys are going to keep me motivated, because I absolutely believe that I'm going to make this work.
But anyways to my post. I attended a fair this weekend and had a booth. Got alot of contacts and what not, but a holistic fair may not be the venue for Coastal. But it was fun all the same, and I made alot of B2B contacts. Anyways, I was able to sign up for a workshop to be able to have a one on one with some of the visitors. The workshop was called, "How to vacation on a budget". I got one couple. So I intro'd myself, and explained what Coastal was (selling the Product). Then I told them they were going to watch the DVD and then I would leave time for questions after. Then I played the DVD. Now I've watched it, but it was in my office, and I wasn't paying that close attention to it, but OMG!!!! it's boring. The guy yawned, the wife kept looking at her watch, and even I was getting tired of the presenter's voice.
I ended up stopping it short of the end. It just got passed the cost of Level III package. They were very nice people, and I was able to salvage the relationship with my humor, and they asked alot of questions. I'm going to give them a vacation simply because they sat through it.
Ok, so a couple of questions for you guys:
* I'm doing the fair again in Sept, and I need another name for the class to attract people.
* Is there another movie that someone can recommend I play that people won't jump out the window on
* or a script, speech, or PowerPoint slide show I can use to intro with or present with.

Hi Bill,
Welcome to the forum and welcome to Coastal! I see you are in the CWB. When did you start? Who is your director? Not that there is anything wrong with asking questions here, but you should be able to ask these questions to him/her and get your answers right away. Also, don't forget about our open forum calls, these are great questions that I'm sure others have also!
Are you going to be able to make it to our seminar in WV this month? Check your email for an email titled Extra! Extra! Read all about it! and check out the Sunday afternoon section, I think that will help answer your question.

Hi Bill,
You must have a different DVD. The Official Coastal Vacations DVD is professionally done and I can tell you that It Works to sell memberships.
If you want to know HOW to do a seminar, which is very close to a home party, you should plug into the Official Coastal Vacations training at official coastal training dot com

Lora - Yes I'm in CWB. My Director is Jena, she has been great. But I like to bounce ideas off other people as well. I started about the end of May. So about 6 weeks now.
I can't get on the open forum calls, because of my early communte to work, but I want too.
And no, I won't be able to make it to WV. I'll be out of town. But I want to make the next one.
Jay - Yes I have the official Coastal DVD that came with my package. If thats what I should use then ok, but I wouldn't mind other options.

Bill,
I hate that you will not be able to make it to WV! I wasn't able to make it last year, so I understand! I will see you there next year then
6 weeks new, that's great! It sounds like you are off to a great start!
Oh, and don't worry, other options are coming very soon!

You should plan for the Official Coastal Vacations Seminar in Nashville, Tennessee on September 7th and 8th at the Nashville Convention Center.

Hey Bill,
Welcome to Coastal. This is a great place to learn. Ive been in Coastal for 2 years now and am still learning everyday. The one thing I would say is to not put so much pressure on yourself. So many of us hear the stories of people having success right away and if you dont have that success you get down on yourself. Thats not the way to think. First off the fact that you started your own business makes you a winner. Remember that always. Now to give you a few tips id say that the biggest thing you can do to jump start your business is to learn your product. Knowledge is power. It also builds confidence. That confidence is key. So come on here and learn what you can.

Bill, I learned this subject title from an old Coastal friend... Nora back in 2004 and I have never forgot it and use it ALL the time... it works great.
