I've done a Bridal Show and a Career fair and made sales from both. but I'm not sure how to present for this event coming up Which will be a Christian Networking group I belong to - setting up booths and advertising to bring in lots of people. The first one was last year - I wasn't there but heard it had a great turn out - so I'm expecting it to be pretty good again.
Just wondering ......talk Biz Opp or Retail or can you successfully do both at the same time and keep it simple enough? Has anyone done something like this? I could use your help - please!

Hi Carole,
If you do a search on any of the top search engines such as Yahoo.com or Google.com , you will get a lot of info about Christian Business Networking Show.
It is pretty amazing how much info can be found online about anything and any subject that there is in this world.
Good luck and I really hope that you find the info that you are searching for.

Hi Carole,
Everyone loves vacations, so I suggest giving your booth a tropical look. Have a banner that says something like this "Sign up here to win a Vacation" People will stop by just to see what your all about
Have the Vacation sign up form look something like this Name_____________ Phone______________ E-mail_______________
Check all that apply below: (__) Interested in Saving Money on Travel (__) Interested in giving Cruises away as Gifts (__) Interested in having my own Travel Business (__) Interested in owning a Wholesale Travel Package
This will give you tons of leads to follow up with
As far as talking Biz or Retail Be yourself and listen to your prospects they'll tell you what they want. Most of all Have Fun
Hope I have helped some Cindy

A Christian Business Networking Show would seem like a great place to find people looking for fundraising opportunities. I would have as many flyers as possible advertising that a major thrust of your business is fundraising efforts. Chances are someones church is looking to change from doing the traditional bake sale thing.
I would really try this avenue and I wish you the best in the venture. If you need some ideas on how to do fundraisers please contact me personally so we can talk. Good luck.

Carole,
Look on my CD for my sample booth and trade show skematics.
The CSG ripped them off of me, when I shared it with them, but that's fine, we all get milk from the same cow.
ASK people when they come by your both questions.
Engage them:
What brings you to the expo today? Are you open to hearing how you can make more money from home? Are you open to hearing how we save people up to 75% off all the vacations they take for life?
Then see where they take it.
Have a raffle, sign up forms, on the forms put boxes
- I want to learn more about discount travel memberships - I want to learn learn more about discount travel memberships and how to make $1000 or more per sale retailing them.
Do periodic drawings.
Sponsor the event, by giving a cruise voucher to a lucky attendee, by contacting the organization, seeing if they will allow you to be a mini-sponsor.
One time, I did a trade show, got hundred of leads, gave away 1 vacation voucher per hour over the loudspeaker, and the organization endorsed me since everyone got such great value in the vacations.
Then, at the end of the trade show, my L1 Coastal package was the grand prize giveaway (cost me $295), which we told people were worth $15,000 in retail value.
When the lady won it, she was shaking, she was so excited.
This trade show grouped loved working with me and the value I added to all their attendees, I felt like I got special treatment, but simply because I asked.
I am sure the other vendors hated me, since all the action was at my booth, not theirs, but that is all about how you present yourself and running a booth is about being the vendor that people tell other attendees, 'YOU JUST GOTTA STOP BY THE COASTAL VACATIONS BOOTH, they are so fun and they are giving away vacations!'
If you need any more help on what to do with live expos, and such, just PM me or gimme a call!

Sorry, don't have anything new to add to the good advice that has been given.
BUT have a question, how are the "content links" getting so prominent on this thread? Something new Vishal?

Hi Terri,
I think that Vishal has invested in a site monetizing tool that links keywords in organic text with advertisers.
Good luck with it, Vishal!

Yes you are right Tonya I signed up with Kontera and that's why you see those content links. Relying only on Google adsense doesn't work out for forums and hence I had to look out for additional ways to monetize. I hope you don't find them too intrusive. Do you?

Vishal, it's an interesting concept I hadn't heard about before.
How does one get their link to be a content link on other sites? Is there a Adsense you can buy to be a content link?
Terri

Hi Terri,
Once you sign up with Kontera (and get approved) and put their code in your website pages, it scans the content and then replaces relevant keywords into content links. Already existing hyperlinks are untouched. So you yourself cannot determine which keywords are to be converted into content links.

exactly....
if you vendor at a booth, make sure you show other vendors how your product will help them at their booth at their next expo. Take time before the show floor opens to visit other booths, get to know the other vendors, one next to you, across from you, make friends, then make a sale!
Many ways to make coastal sales folks, keep at it, never quit.
