Well - let's face it - Most people don't have Extra money laying around and many of your prospects will say they don't have the money to join Coastal - so nothing new there - I'm sure you've all hear that over and over.
I will say this from first hand experience though - because in the past I didn't believe it myself but Really - it is Not about the Money!!
I know because I also have a Free Biz opp that I've promoted for years - and it's great - but guess what - it's EXACTLY the SAME amount of work and the results are the same -(but for MUCH less money than Coastal),
It's about finding out if people are Serious about starting a Business and that is it! Then it's about Leading those people through a process.
So it makes sense to work at a Business where you CAN earn the huge profits that the Coastal Business model has in place, so that when you Do find those people who really Are serious - then you and they as well can make great money.
And for those people who Really don't have any way of coming up with the money but they really ARE serious.... There are many creative ways to help them.
For one - I suggest that they call on leads and refer you sales so that they can get qualified - you'll find out very quickly just how serious they are. It's a great way to help others and make sales too.
Enjoy!

"It takes money to make money"
Long time ago in a business I was with I heard the phrase that went something like "buyers are liars" not to insult anyone it just means we all at one time or another heard "I would love to but I just can't finance this project at the moment.
Translation? utoh you have just struck a nerve, I really really want to join Coastal, I really could get my hands on the money ..but I still need a little more convincing.
That in a nutshell is "buyers are liars" all they want is maybe for you to take away the fear of failure or maybe they have unanswered questions, so do not give up on them, the "I don't have the money" is a cry for more info and probably one of the best prospects you have.

I completely agree with Terri! When I think back to when I was researching Coastal, I think I was one of those that said I couldnt afford it at the time, as well. But, just as you said, I think that was my way of asking for more information and for someone to, as you said, take the fear away. I may not have had the money in my hand, but I did eventually find a way to get it! I just needed someone to give me the confidence in the business to make me take that leap! I am so glad I did as I will be working my Coastal business full-time in just a couple of weeks!! Yep, I was able to quit my full-time J-O-B!! Now I get to be a full-time mommy and a C.E.O. I am pretty excited!

Hi Judy! My name is Nicole; sorry about that! Thanks for being excited for me! How long have you been with Coastal? I started in March and have done it very part-time. I have had to put the business down for weeks at a time because it was getting to be too much with my full-time job and the stress that came a long with it! It is just a matter of time before you do the same for yourself. A lot of it is having the right director, participating in any and all training calls that you have, and of course, visiting this forum often.
Which group are you a member of? A lot of the teams have really great back office training systems and it is very important to follow ALL of the training.
I have also learned a lot throught trial and error! I think the best experience is learned from doing and monitoring your results. I hope this helps. If you have any questions, let me know!
Much Success!!! Nicole

I've seen this before - Some jobs require more work than others.
Let's really think about learning for a moment. Any book or class is broken down into what's "Important" and Necessary and then...there's the information that you can get to when you have time. Most teachers test on what they teach...not everything in a text book.
Coastal is the same way. There's ALOT to learn if you want to know EVERYTHING before you get started but you don't have to know everything to get started. I've taken all 4 years of information I have and put it into an applyable training that allows my new team members to learn at their own pace and eliminate all the "fluff" that is not required, but will be learned over a period of time.
As far as the "money" thing...there are 2 types of people. Those who WANT Coastal and those who don't....You can use psychological methods to get people to buy a Coastal membership, but it's not required and I don't recommend it.

Oops! After re-reading my post, it sounds like I am telling Judy she is going to be stressed out and have to put the business down:
"I have had to put the business down for weeks at a time because it was getting to be too much with my full-time job and the stress that came a long with it! It is just a matter of time before you do the same for yourself."
Sorry Judy! That isn't what I was sayingat all. What I meant was it is just a matter of time before you are able to work Coastal full-time. My apologies! Good luck and enjoy yourself because you can have a lot of fun with this business as well as make a great income!
Much Success, Nicole

Thanks Nicole, I have been burning myself at both ends since I got the membership in May. I really thought it would take a month to get 4 people (2 for my director and 2 to pay off the membership) So I didn't tell my husband I had joined up thinking he would be all proud of me when I showed him what I could do. Well it is now July and I have had 6 opt-ins and only 4 had valid e-mails. He knows now and has given me until December to make our money back. So I am in the forum all the time learning from the best.
I have gotten discouraged trying to book a simple trip to Orlando though and finding a better deal than with other internet companies. I did pick this business because I could get travel wholesale and I have seen some great deals through Coastal -it just doesn't seem to be working out for the dates I need. I guess I have to be better prepared for next years trip so I can go on a cruise!
I am finding there is a big learning curve with this business especially when the only thing your director has tried is free advertising and e-mail blasting.
I will be successful in this business -just keep thinking law of attraction. Judy

Judy go to www.DaniJohnson.com/video for assistance don't rely on your Director it appears their way is not very duplicable and is not giving you the numbers you need. Look elsewhere for help and training. Your job is to qualify a prospect, give them the information(by whichever means live call, website etc) and then follow up to collect a decision.

Aviva and I have done very well with free advertising and Email blasts. But having said that.....you DO need people going through your system. There are alot of lead companies out there. Some give you thousands and some give you hundreds. Some are really pricey and some cost next to nothing to get a really good supply.
The choice is yours to how you run your business but I would be more than happy to share some of the free ads and leads companies that we have used.
Im sure we can get some people clicking through your system and popping out the other side as Coastal Associates and Directors.

PS "The Law of Attraction" You have surrounded yourself with some amazing and talented people in this forum. I encourage to listen and hear what they say...what they write and take action to be successful.
You are on the right path

GREAT THREAD!
Personally, I LOVE hearing "I don't have the money"
It tells me one of 2 things... either they are NOT serious and I am wasting my time (usually they have also not asked many questions after reviewing information or have not bothered to review it beyond the price tag at all) or 2- that they DO NOT have the money to loose and that getting hold of it will require some discomfort. That tells me they ARE serious and will WORK their business as they should to find success but that they need more information.
Personally- I have not yet come accross someone who really was as broke as I WAS when I started my business. Single mother going to the food bank broke! But- I NEEDED Coastal... so I did my homework and I did NOT STOP until I found a way. That determination has payed me in spades so much more then just in the bank.
So.. I don't have the money.. is a GOOD THING- broke is great, broke minded is not!
Keep having fun!
