O.K. so now that I have joined Coastal I have booked my week off as the August 13 week. What I want to know is where should I go that doesn't cost a bundle. We are living near Toronto Ontario so we could drive down to Florida (with 2 young kids in tow) but could also fly. I really want to do the full 7-9 days and I notice that most of the vacations are between 2-4 nights. Can you combine vacations? I liked the one that Funtime was offering although I couldn't figure out the name of the cruiseline but from what I have read I am leary of this one (if it is even offered).
Also, I noticed that a lot of them you need to give 3 dates you could use but I had to tell my daycare parents which week I was taking so now I can't change it -is it easy to find the date you want?
Lastly, I really need something where a kid's program could be included (at least for part of the holiday) because if I don't get away from them for the whole week -I'll go batty!
Thanks in advance for all the input I am hoping to receive. Judy

Hey Judy great questions you have. My first thought would be to get on any trainings the group you are with has and ask about vacations others have used. Product knowledge is key in this industry. You week long stays I use the Access card alot. My wife loves looking at the trips day in and out. We even got a 4 bedroom condo in Williamsburg Va that normally runs for $3600 for a week for $259. We didnt have to but we did attend 3 timeshares in town two gave us $100 each and the other gave us 1/2 price tix to Busch Gardens. Thats a great deal. Our stay wound up costing us $59. That my friend is a bargain. So the Access card is a good option plus you can book it right away. No wait or anything. Have you credit card ready and go. The vouchers based on which one you use have different terms and conditions and most have 60 day time periods. So I hope that helps. I also like my Fun Time vouchers. I mention it as you said you are a little leary of it. The benefit to the Fun Time vouchers is they are booked in house so you can get rid of alot of the wait time. You can get my contact info from my signature line if you have any questions but id suggest talking to your director and see if you have any product training in your b/o first. Talk soon.

Judy, you can also use the entry level product of the WCYS system. You have to activate it in your back office but you can do it ALL online so you don't have to send in a voucher or anything.

I agree the best way I have seen since I began with Coastal, even as one experienced in travel, is the new product we offer from WCYS, it has the best of all worlds, booking is easier than before.

I joined it at Level 2 and have read about the entry product but didn't know if I had to pay extra or not. With shipping and the exchange rate it was actually was out of my league but my thoughts were $3000 commissions would get me where I wanted to go much faster I spent hours online last night trying my new cards and was very disappointed -I couldn't find a single vacation with the condo card anywhere in the world although it says there are thousands of them, the cruise card seemed to take me to the Cruiselines regular sites so I'm not what those savings are etc.
Has anyone done the 7 day tropical fantasy vacation through the Worldwide Travel Centre? The other thing I was looking at was trying to do Orlando for 5 nights and then the 3 night Carnival Cruise from Port Canaveral
Input anyone? -Judy

Hi Judy, I actually called to book the Tropical Fantasy and got the process started. The date seemed to work - although it was over 60 days out. I was also informed of some other specials available at the same time plus other dates that were sooner and later. They seemed to be flexible. Hope this helps! Carolyn

Judy, with the websites you might not find lots of vacancies in peak travel periods like the heat of the summer. I checked in the entry level product for a June date in Myrtle Beach but there was only one showing because there just aren't any open condo rooms available BUT if you want to go in August of Sept you can find TONS of places. Also, try and call the number on the back of the condo card in your package. They might be able to find somthing you can't find online. Keep in mind our package works best when you plan ahead but with the access cards you can find immediate deals if you look.

The summer is hard to get the best deals last minute as this is their busy season. The best option id say is if you are a travel agent as well that might be the route to go. I used my Inteletravel stuff for last minute trips all the time. Also if you use your Access card there are some new links and something we used to call our "Burn Weeks" are back. Check out the Access site that I know works.

Hi Adam, I just registered with Inteletravel and I'm just curious as to whether it's easy to do the Coastal bookings through the site?

Thanks for all the info. I have sent away for the Disney 4 nights and the Carnival 3 night cruises and I am just crossing my fingers that the dates will be the ones I need. Any experience with either of these "free" vacations? You can PM me as well.
I am so looking forward to travelling again!

I heard on local news the other day that it seems that the "2 week vacation" is being replaced with smaller trips of say 3-4 day mini vacations.
Fortunately we with Coastal have the answer for those wanting to take mini vacations at wholesale prices...

Good point Terri. Statistics show that despite the price of gas, people are on the GO. Memorial day traffic was up. People have to stay somewhere don't they??

Bolade, this is a Coastal Vacations forum. I'm glad your happy with GRN but this is not a place to advertise GRN. You should go to WAHM which is GRN all the time. You'll be happy there.

Why does it not suprise me that YOU do not have your own testimonial?
SPAM has become a way of life when it comes to many companies. I've been impressed that MOST Coastal Directors have not gone in that direction, instead choosing to market their business with integrity.

Using the inteletravel membership....
My wife booked a 5 cabin cruise for our family and friends to Alaska, which we leave on in two weeks!
She was able to earn over $2000 in commissions on those bookings and help pay for our own room.
That is a killer way to use the IT membership.
Whatever program you use, Joystar or IT, you get paid in commissions for bookings you do.
Having an agent card can get you upgrades and discounts too.
