I would like to give away either the bonus vacations that came with my package or the $6.95 vacations as an incentive for another online business.

Would someone be so kind in telling me the easiest way to give these away over the internet in a downloadable format. This would be ideal since USPS takes longer.

My membership application is on the way to the shipping center, so am I going to have to wait until that 's processed?

Thanks in Advance for Your Suggestions.

Hi Earl,

For paper documents like the certificates, you must scan them into your computer and save them as either an image or a PDF file (preferably PDF).

Then, you can either email the PDF to the recipient or direct them to a secure download page.

PDF995 offers a free tool to convert documents to PDF, if you don't have Acrobat.

Hope this helps,

Yup.. I use a PDF.. one thing though, they must actually CALL me for my membership number. I won't post that online to just anyone!

Cheers

Gotcha...

I actually just mailed in my membership application. Am I not allowed to use the membership # that's on the application until processing has finished?

Actually, Earl.. I belive that you are able to use it! This is because we want people to GO ON VACATION and not sit around and wait a few weeks for their membership cards to be manufactured and mailed out! They usually come back quite quickly, btw.

Hold onto your hat btw.. I expected that when I got my cards back I'd just get a little envelope with the 20 odd cards. Small envelope, right?

WRONG!! I got a ANOTHER big box full of stuff! So full that I had a buy another binder, it did not all FIT into the coastal zipper binders!

Prepare to have some fun! Have a great time using and sharing your package!

Cheers

That's a big relief that I can use my membership I. D. to activate vacations now!

I think what I need to do is purchase the $6.95 vacations, that way the people that I give people a choice between several destinations, since I've given a lot of the vacations from my package away. Variety is gonna be my best bet here. Hopefully I can have them sent to me in PDF format. Does anyone know where I can go to purchase these?

Oh and what about the $1000 travel and gift certificates. Are we still using these? What website is it that people go to use their certificate?

Thanks Again

I would scam the certs into the computer and save them as PDF's!

As for posting website vendors.. i don't know if that is the wisest idea in a public forum!

Also, be careful whom you share your membership number with. It IS valuable, and you don't want less scrupulous persons to get hold of it and damage your good name in any way.

Just my .02!

The fact that I need to be careful whom I give my membership ID # to is going to make it extremely hard to give out LOTS of vacations to help promote the package.

There's got to be a way that I can give away plenty of vacations without putting my reputation on the line. (^:}

The only other way is to activate the ones you give out. There are some who do give the voucher unactivated with their member ID on them so some do it but I wouldn't personally. You could give them out and have a sheet of paper giving them your number to call you when they are ready to activate the trip. Then you will at least restrict it to people who are going to spend the $7 to actually use it.

I was looking over the post in this section and noticed that alot has been talked about givng away certificates electronically. This is the million dollar question. Of course you want to give away certs and promote your business but you also want to protect your membership number. I have sent away alot of certs via the PDF route and havent had a problem yet. There are programs if you are computer savvy that allo you different security features on pdf's. Im not that good at them but know they exist. Another thing I did to help in this is join Fun Time Vacations. They have certs that can be sent electronically and I also get a commission back when the customer activates the cert. This really solved my problem. But if you are just going to use the CV certs id have the person send me the $6.95 via paypal or something like that. The reasoning behind this is simple. You get paid for the cert so you have no cost other than mailing it to the client ( you can have them send you a SASE). Many business charge for shipping and handling on free stuff anyway so its a common practice. I heard that the Video Professor guy made 127 million last year on the $6.95 s/h charge on his computer training giveaways. Not to shabby huh. So there are a few options ive though tof and used. Hope it helps a bit.
