We have managed to secure daily cable spots, 30 mins at a very very competitive rate, but we are in need of a 10 minute DVD that can be shown 3x in a 30 min slot.
Does anyone know of a company that can make one at a competitive price? I can offer some co-op slots in lieu of payment if anyone is willing to barter.

Hi Maria!
I may know someone who knows someone.. by "competitive" pricing, you mean in the hundreds, and not the thousands range? I understand custom DVD creation and editing is quite dear.
When would you need to work completed by? Do you have a story board, materials or anything for them to base ideas, content and format on?
At any rate.. may be better to PM me..

Hiya Jani
I was thinking of something every similar to the movie found on the official coastal site.
Pictures of vacations, testimonials, retail comparisons and business opportunity overview
as the slots are 30 mins in length, I thought a 10 min video could be shown 3x in the alloted slot.
the leads will be directed to a generic website with a toll free number (which will go on rotation) as well as have the toll free # posted on the infomercial (which will also go on rotation)
and yes, hundreds is what we are looking at not thousands. each co-op slot for a 30 min exposure daily for 4 months will run less than $100 per month pp
so you can see we hit the jackpot with great negotiations done by a member in my group.

that is AWESOME Maria!
Sounds like a good plan to me.. problem is, I don't know where to find an editor to do something of that quality and depth that inexpensively. Dude I was thinking of has recently become popular and therefore no longer cheap. I'm checking out another source, but he does stuff for hollywood and is taking personal time from the last project at the moment. I shall let you know. He is my best friends brother, so if he is interested it should be reasonable. Have you tried any of the freelance bid for work sites like rentacoder etc etc?
How soon do you need it exactly?
I'm thinking that some of the other well known directors are tech geeks.. so maybe they can tell you who they used? If that person is familiar with the business and that.. maybe even has some materials on the cutting room floor from the last project? Might make things quick and simple which usually has a better chance of translating into cheap.
Otherwise, you may have to consider increasing your budget somewhere to middle groud between el cheapo and big corporation with money to waste bucks.

We have had quotes but I know we can get it for less.
I am sure there is a coastal video guru person out there who would like to trade skills for co-op spots 
yes we have asked for bids from rentacoder, not sure if we have had replies yet.

sorry for the delay, thank you for your kind offer. I have had quite a few replies regarding this....and calls, it seems that many people are excited...
we are on a roll....the time slots needed to be verified first and that is a go in an excellent market.
I have a talented person who will make the DVD for us.

thank you, once the co-op goes live I will be able to share everything with those participating, all I can tell you is that it is in a high dollar resort area. Sorry not to be specific, but I have to safeguard my sources!!!!!! heee you know how that goes.
I have never seen so many people being able to copy everything that happens in a short period of time.
Our coastal directors are resourceful and talented.

Hi Maria,
I believe your right, a great infomercial will part the clouds!!!
The sky is the limit and something like this will certainly bring in prospects that are specifically looking for more information on how to join Coastal!!
