I'm not sure about everyone else on this forum, but I started doing some things recently that have had an impact on me.
Fist thing is, I started listening to business building and motivational cd's (can't get them in 8 tracks). I have a long commute to and from the JOB and radio stations, cell phone signals, and even people are rare commodities on my path. New philosophy for me is why put trash in, all that happens is trash out. So by listening to positive stuff I utilize my travel time more efficient and it is helping me learn and participate in new ways.
Second thing is, I have tried to find the positive things in everything I do and or I am involved with. Now I struggle with this one. I work crazy hours and my sleep schedule is my worst enemy often. But when I get home and I'm exhausted and receiving calls from work still hours after I leave, it's easy to get negative. So instead of putting my family in a blaw mode, I just find the good in things and go there. I know bad things happen and not everyone is always happy at the same time, but if I don't add to the blaw's then others may have some of my new philosophy, good stuff in, good stuff out.

Good for you Brian. I'm glad you are implementing the changes. And if you should find yourself astray, don't get discouraged. No one is perfect. We only do our best. And best also means not being too hard on yourself.
Sounds like you're pretty much describing the Law of Attraction that everyone is talking about. Also, though described in different terms and detail, it's very similar to what Tony Robins talks about in his programs.

Hi Thomas and Brian,
I agree we have think positive in all aspects of our lives!
I read an ebook the another day and the author suggested we turn off the serious mode at least once a day and act like a child to bring some fun into our lives!! I agree with him also and I'm sure he would love it if I could remember his name right now Anyway.......try to play more you will be amazed at the creatived thoughts that come to you without effort!
I'm new to coastal and so far I love it!!!

It's hard to disagree with any of you, especially your point Cindy about "playing more".
My wife encourages me to get some fresh air (not sure if she just wants me out??  hehe) so being in the frigid Great White North and having a skating rink not far from where I live, it's great to get out there, get some excercise and, yes, let the creative juices flow.
That's where I decided on implementing my fundraising donation to a Dry Grad Committee not too long ago. Just got their acceptance yesterday and they'll be raffling off the Level 1 later this school year, they expect to raise over $25K....great PR

I have a question,
I have been reading some of the other forums about Coastal and came across a couple of directors talking about traverus (something like this) and wanted to know What ya'll think about becoming a travel agant to enhance sales with Coastal?

First, before answering the question about the Traverus, I need to point out something very important.
I am envious (in the nicest way) of you being in the sunny Florida. But really, I do enjoy the change in the weather, including the white winter.
Anyways, about Traverus...
I suppose everyone is different depending on their view of how the two businesses mesh together and what role they want to play.
For me, personally I'm not too keen on becoming a travel agent (even as a status). If I wanted to be one, then I'll just be one and not do Coastal Vacations.
And I figure if someone wants to join me because I had that status, then I'm not attracting the kind of people that I want in my team. And it's not an image that I want to portray.
As for enhancing sales with Coastal, I suppose it is possible. But I guess it all depends where you want to place the emphasis in your business model. More retail sales or team building?
Can be a tough choice as both can be lucrative, as far as I know.

I wanted to let you guys know that partnered with CSG is Inteletravel, it comes with the Level 1 package and by the sounds of it is the same sort of thing as traverus - you get your Travel Agent Status....you get an IATA number.....I'm not really sure on the details of it...but if you wanted more info, I could get it for you.

I have heard of quite a few people offering Traverus as an option for people who don't have the money for Coastal. I have always thought of that as sounding like you are desparate when you say "well, if this is too much for you to afford how about this". Like you are giving them second best. That being said, many people might go for it. I am a travel agent with inteletravel also and it is really more for my benefit then anything else.

Let me explain why it is a good thing to belong to both Traverus and Coastal, at least these are our reasons 
If you are speaking to someone who does not want to spend $1295 and more to go on vacation why lose the sale, with Traverus deals you can offer a good vacation for less and still get a commission. PLUS and this is a big one, you are positioned as a travel PROFESSIONAL.
Not to mention the great residual compensation plan, imagine if you have a dry spell selling Coastal and you have the residual income coming from Traverus. That's money coming in.
We have many more ideas, and reasons to get involved that we share with our team. How about offering Coastal after they joined Traverus?
Talk with us we have a lot ideas to generate income with Traverus!
We would love to have you we do 3way calls and much more, the support is great, and like with Coastal there are now groups or teams whatever you want to call it and my upline and team is the best, we have others who joined with someone else that are asking us how to get the splash pages WE have, well we will  not divulge that info to anyone but OUR team!!

Traverus does seem to go well with Coastal because of being in the same industry.
But personally, I'm not considering retailing the travel packages too much. I am more interested in building a stronger team.
Sure, I'd probably lose some sales that way.
But I figured that if a person wanted to save some money for their travels, then they wouldn't really consider Coastal anyways because of the large price ticket. Of course, it is a tremendous value if you have access to it and use it, but it can easily deter someone who isn't in Coastal yet.
So if I were to market both, would I put more heavy emphasis on Traverus and then try to upsell Coastal? If so, would I be successful in presenting Coastal as a travel package alone (again, the price tag). Or if I do so as a business opportunity, then I might be running into a lot of dead ends since my first filtering of prospects wasn't focused with business opportunity seekers, but for those who wanted to save money and travel.
In the end, it's still a toss up, even for me. I'm just leaning more toward focusing on Coastal and building the team. But never say never, right?

Brian , I am in your same boat I live in sc, am in the military, and started my homebased biz some time ago and commute 2hrs a day to get to and from base each day. I definately appreciate using that driving time (which on off hours can be sleepy) wisely.
What cd's do you suggest??
