Some will and some wont find a difference between these two statements − "only dreamers can be achievers" or "achievers are always dreamers".
Here I'm trying to explain why I feel that these two sentences arent alike. If you dream its GOOD, but if you don't see/write/talk/share your dream its BAD (as it means that you are not serious about your dreams) and if you don't know when (deadline) you are going to achieve what you dream its WORST.
I'm in no way intending to discourage dreamers (as I'm a dreamer), but want to emphasise that let our dreams have deadlines. A dream with no deadline becomes a wish. The result is it remained in our thoughts alone till date. The point here is that when you put deadlines to your dreams, it creates a tremendous SENSE OF URGENCY in you that pushes you beyond all kinda limitations because when you set a deadline to your dream, it no more remains a dream but becomes a "compelling reason" for all your actions. That's precisely what differentiates dreamers from achievers. Just try to remember some of your dreams you have achieved so far? Only dreamer can be achiever but only when he/she has a sense of urgency in him/her that makes their dream compelling enough for them to act towards achieving it.

Our fears have a way of taking over what we want. If we really sit back and listen to what we really want, we will learn to put aside the negitive and move into the positive to reach that goal of financial freedom. It's hard at times. With hard work it will all work out. Stay focused. It's so worth it.
To your massive success, Michelle

Good post Rohini. I have found writing down your deadline and reading it over and over really helps as well.

Very good post Rohini. The title of your post was 'compelling' enough to make me click and read...

Very inspiring post. You can dream all your want, but without action and deadline. It will only become a fantasy.

I had similar problems trying to get in shape. My resolution was to hang a calendar on the wall, and put a checkmark on each day I would exercise. Sometimes the easiest way for me to get motivated is to refuse to leave any blanks on that calendar. If I do end up missing a day (which happens), I am left with a glaring reminder that I need to pick up the pace - a blank square on my calendar.
In short, when the dream isn't compelling enough, create a trivial obsession that yields the same result. I hope that makes sense.

Your dreams can come true if you believe in yourself and what you do. Write your dream or goal down in a place where you will see it daily and you will be more motivated to see it through.

Action combined with small doable goals is what works for me. If it's too big I get overwhelmed and confused so I tend to build upon my small victories one day at a time. And keep going no matter what. Sonni

This is great. The only thing I would change is that you can't share your dream with just anyone. This goes back to the teachings of Napoleon Hill. When you want to acquire riches, create a mastermind group of individuals who are as positive as you, and share your goals. Those are the people you tell your dreams to. If you just share your dreams with your friends, even though they have the best of intentions, most will try to talk you out of what you are doing, saying that you cannot make it.
This being said, I am in the process of creating short, intermediate, and long term goals for my dream now. I've always had a dream, but as you said, not having a deadline for acheiving your dream is just as bad as not having one at all.

drknlvly6781: The only thing I would change is that you can't share your dream with just anyone. I agree completely. After all, it is your dream, and even though you may want to share your ambition with others, sometimes it's wiser to keep it private. Like you said, even though they may have the best of intentions, many will try to talk you out of it. You are much better off saving the energy you would expend defending your goals and applying it instead to achieving them.

There is nothing wrong with having dreams but without significant action on our part, that's all they will ever be, dreams. Too many folks think they can just put out a little effort and everything will work for them. Life doesn't work that way. In order to experience success in anything, one has to be determined and consistent!

True, if we do nothing about our dreams, they become nothing but nice thoughts to reminisce on. Don't let your dreams gather dust! If you've told someone about your dreams and they say you can't do it, forget that and do it anyway! Dreams are only worth something when you get them out of your head, and into action!
