Are you saying that you paid $2,100 for the course. I just spoke to someone the other day and they wanted $12,000 for the course, I wonder why there is such a difference in the figures.

I think the investment really depends on what you want as far as services go. Most of the people I have talked to have invested different amounts, but it really depends on time with the company and what services you buy. Obviously the more you invest, the more you get out of it.

Thrive learning institute is like an on-line school. I did join a few weeks ago because I want to learn something different. The different joining levels are around $3000, $5000 & $7000. They do provide coaching but only 15 minitue calls at a time, and only for a number of weeks depending on the entry level. although they contract to help until the origional investment is made back. If you are computer illiterate then it is alot of time studing the videos which seems to be the point of learning, and can cause alot of frustration. Although, you can call as many times a day as you want with questions and they will get back with you although it usually takes hours. Thought you'd like to know.

I see some folks who joined Thrive because of the websites - it really doesn't take that much to make a site, or get a domain name. There are places, were you can get a domain name and the "Sitebuilder" software, to build your own. You could also hire someone to do it for you - cheap. Register.com and Itsyourdomain are places to register your own domain. There are free templates, with flash and everything, that you can download and personalize.
Anyhow, the real key to the online business is the marketing. If Thrive can help you folks with the marketing, then I guess it's worth it. Google adds can be placed in specific sites and you can even have a monthly budget of $50.00 - you will get clicks - maybe not as many as with a bigger budget.
I would check Google Adworks and Yahoo is another place to place.
Anyhow, the folks at Thrive have called me a couple of times and I'm still trying to get specific information from them - they wanted to use my credit cards to pay for the loan? "The jury is still out" as far as I'm concerned

I have just registered with Thrive. Did anyone else get their contracts through, mentioning a different company, i.e Momentum Marketing? This was who the contract (once signed) went to and then I got a sort of confirmation email from the Summit Group. Now I'm totally confused as I thought it was just Thrive learning Institute.

Currently working with Thrive. So far so good. I'm really learning a lot. In me I still have my doubts about making my initial investment back, but I guess time will tell. I have currently finished my market research and am in the process of contacting dropshippers.

I just signed up yesterday (Thrive) - I was really excited and now I am getting a little confused. I just want an honest answer no BS - Did i get taken? Are they Legit? I wanted to use them to fast track my way to some income... Has anyone made any money and how quickly did you do it??? I keep seeing responses that seem like they say that they may or may not have helped but the bottom line is did you make your investment back and then some - Did they really start you on your way to financial freedom..?

Hello:

I signed up with thrive last month and so far so good. For the longest time I had the same questions you have - Did I get taken ? Are they Legit ? Is this some sort of a scam ? Like you my intentions was to use them to fast track my income.
Honestly speaking, they have kept to there part of the bargain so far, I have my weekly lessons and I'm left with some homework to do. I have just completed my market research (i really learned a lot doing this), I have set up my business, I now have a dropshipper and am in the process of obtaining an EIN so I can contact the wholesalers directly.

Will i ever get my initial investment back ? I don't know, but I believe if I stay focused and stick to my plan, there is a high possibility that I will recover my initial investment.

A group called the taxclub might contact you to help setup your business structure. In my own opinion, if you have a good tax account that's good enough. I didn't have a good feeling about them and after googling them my doubts were confirmed.

There are no guarantee in life especially when it comes to business, so just take it one step at a time. Will you learn anything from Thrive. Yes you will. I hope this helps.

Cheers

IMPORTANT!
Hey, this sounds exactly like something that's happening to me...same animal-different name. I decided to spend $40.00 and purchased a "Michael Vincent" program. That same day (Monday) I got a call about 7 pm from some man. He said he would call me back yesterday but some lady called from some company called Business Development Systems.
She set up an appointment for me to be determined "candidate material". The only thing is that before the end of the conversation tomorrow, I have to answer "yes or no" about sending a check for $3000-$4000! I looked up the web address "whythrivenow" as given by this lady and and it displayed (swear-no kidding) WHY-DOES-RUTH-KAISER-SUCK - whythrowawaymoney.info!
Might want to check.
Post me back
Thanks

But by the way, they ARE Thrive Learning Institute! They are also Business Development Systems.
I don't know if posting a phone number to "corporate office" as the only identification they will give you when they answer the phone, is against forum policy or not.
I hate to tell you this but I'm positive it is the same people.
I don't even know what I thought I was supposed to get or even what it was that I spent my money on now! And it was only Monday when I got all this ..whatever it is going on..started!
I feel like such a major idiot! But I can laugh a little about it cause I think I just proved to myself "I AM AN IDIOT"!

I've have my dropshippers and business fully registered and am now building my website. I hope to have my website up and running in the next 4-6 weeks. I'm too far in the process to drop out. I've put in a lot of time and energy into this and will give you all an honest synopsis after all is said and done. So far thrive has kept to there part of the bargain. There are a few things there marketing rep kinda overhyped (proper word is lied) about when he spoke to me, but oh well. I've definitely learned a lot.

Traderp did you use the taxclub?
Have you spent more money (I mean lots more) doing this whole thing than just your initial investment to Thrive? This is one of my concerns. I havent registered my business yet as I still have no idea how to let alone begin a website! Did you source the dropshippers yourself or use one of those websites that do it for you? and was it very time consuming? To be fair I dont expect it to not be. Sorry for all the questions, I just want to make a go of it and need to talk to someone who can be honest about it, outside of the phone calls/live chat etc. Thanks very much.

Hi:

I did not use the tax club. First of all they are too expensive, secondly I didn't have a good feeling about there package and thirdly I did not find a lot of good reviews about them on google.

I ended up paying a tax account to help me structure my business. There are lots of companies on the internet that will help you incorporate or organize an LLC. If you are not too sure about the company run them by the better business bureau (www.bbb.com).

With dropshippers I joined worldwidebrands ($299- lifetime membership), you can find a lot of verified dropshippers in there directory. Although I still sourced most of my dropshippers myself because worldwide brands did not have a lot of dropshippers that catered to my niche idea. If your dropshipper directory does not cater to your niche, it takes a lot of time trying to find and verify quality dropshippers.

Above the fees you paid, you might end up spending $500 - $2000 taking care of other little things. If you have more questions please do not hesitate to ask.

Cheers

I see that every one has good tips about Thrive Learning Institute; however, it is ok if you have the money; however, I am not going to run up my credit cards to start a business. With me it is about integrity. There is no way I am going to jeopardize my credit to start a business with. Besides, most of what the Thrive Learning Institute is teaching can be found out there free, I have. Some of you say that time and money is important I agree; however, so is experience. I have experience a great deal of wealth of information available to me and I am eager to put it to practice even if it takes a little longer; howeve, I will have the satisfaction of having done it myself. As for www.ripoffreport.com. I'm sure many business are going to protest and call it a fradulent business. Ripoffreport.com has not taken a cent from me and has saved me thousands of $ with business who have tried to rip me off. I am not surprised business object, of course, they don't want anyone to know of their fradulent business parctices and the BBB is good; however, not as good as the ripoffreport.com. I applaud www.ripoffreport.com for helping the consumer. Most people are not going to complain unless they have been ripped off. I shure would not waste my time complaining if it was not true, is unethincal and sinful. Therefore, most of the people saying bad about www.ripoffreport.com are fradulent business practitioners. Those who are clean never come up in www.ripoffreport.com and the BBB. I have found such business.

Thrive Learning Institute is The Summit Group, and The Sellers Lounge, Concept Executions, Biz Review, Infusion Media, Auction Sizzle, Diverse Marketing, and probably many more. I have been to scam.com, ripoffreport.com, complaintsboard.com, bustedscammers.com, badbusinessbureau.com scamradar.com, and consumerfraudreporting.org and read the numerous complaints against this company or companies all operating in Utah, Lindon, Draper, and Murray. I have also been to the better business bureau of Utah and lodged my personal complaint with others. I would reccommend not doing any business this "school".

My appointments with Thrive were not met, they called late and their internet was down, and the support staff was rude.

I have made a lot of money with Thrive. Well technically it was with my website, but the reason I made money was because of Thrive. I contribute my success to Thrive and the information they provided me. I think many people have made money with them and also with ebay, not just websites.

drp,

You joined this forum right after this thread started and your first post was praising Thrive.

Then when I post some cautionary advice to those joining, you accused me of selling something.

So forgive me if I'm sceptical of your claim.

My question is for someone, anyone who joined Thrive at the beginning of this tread.

Have a nice day.

AVOID THRIVE!

I initially paid $3600 for a 6 month training program. They promised me success if I followed their "proven" tactics. Well, my business has been live for 2 months and I haven't made a dime.

Then when I talk to them on the phone, I tell them that my business is failing even though I followed their tactics down to the last word, and their response is "...uuhhhhh, let me forward your call to xxxxx, he is really knowledable and he will help you." Then I talk to that person and I get absolutely NO help.

Oh well, time to start fighting to get my money back.

Hey...you are not the only idiot .I spent $4000 for minimal help. When you ask for their opinion, they talk in circles and then you get the really ignorant coaches that treat you like you are stupid.I have been fighting with them for almost 2 months, while I have been paying a monthly fee for their site, and have only been getting the runaround.I finally got mad, after spending a month crying and frustrated, and wrote them a nasty letter.I did not swear, curse or threaten...yet I have heard nothing from them since.
I would strongly advise anyone reading this
to try to learn by doing research or at the very least, find a business in your area that can help you with this. They will cost you,but at least you will get what you pay for. Please trust me on this,I have been on the verge of a nervous breakdown because of these people and like you have been calling myself an idiot.I would also like to add that you will have to spend way more than your initial investment in marketing fees, setting up your business,a minimum of $200 amonth to set up merchant accounts and that is just the start.Besides all that they lie about the amount of time you have to spend.I have spent 3 months working from 8am till 9pm EVERY DAY including some weekends. It was NOT WORTH IT!!!
