1. I don't know. It depends. The current project I am on has had people on it for over a year.

2. You won't get offers while on a current one I believe.

Also, double check on that headset, they specified two model numbers and it wasn't the 770. Once you accept a project they will set up your computer with the programs needed. You will use an internet phone system through the computer and your house phone will be free.

Thanks so much for the info. I will as the interviewer how long the project is. I have a three yr old and he will start pre-K in the fall of 09... just trying to plan ahead.
I'll also ask about the headset. I have a little time between now at the start date, so I think I'm good there too. Thanks again for your help. I'm trying to recruit my kid sister, she was bogging me down with a thousand questions. Thanks again and have a happy holiday!!!!

I currently start work with Cloud10corp on the 28th, I had no problems with anything during the interview and hiring process. When you are on hold that means that you will get an E-Mail when a position opens up. I recieved three Job offers from them until I chose the one I will doing now. Just be patient and keep checking your in box it took about a month for me to get my first offer.

Initially you have two interviews with them, Then if you are accepted you have to wait for the third interview, The third interview takes awhile to get to since that is your actual job interview the first to just make sure you know how to use a computer and your voice and such.

When you are on Pcpitstop make sure you disable your antivirus and zone alarm and any other security programs as they can interfere with the test.

any other questions just ask I am more than happy to try and help

I applied for a job with Cloud10 and after doing the PCPitstop my DSL speed wasn't fast enough. I received an email to send my results again after I upgraded to a faster speed. I did so and sent them the results and have not heard a thing. Would it be a good idea to call them? I am spending an additional $90 a month for this service and can't afford it without a job. I feel like they are not getting my emails or something. I hope you can help me with this matter, as I have emailed the HR dept. for help and still haven't heard. Thank you for your help.

Hi all.
Quick question, what is the basic starting pay. I have not found this anywhere.
Also, what is the deal with them not paying you for the first month?

What is involved with the telelphone interview?

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!

Cloud 10 is a great company to work for. They keep you updated by email at least twice a week. I am starting a temporary project as an independent contractor on Feb. 13 The start pay is $9/hr plus an additional $50 for completing the project. They are still hiring so I suggest you apply ASAP to be considered for this project. The telephone interview is pretty simple. They ask you if you have any experience and what do you ACTUALLY know about cloud 10's company. I never heard about them not paying you for the first month.

Nora..
Thanks for your input on that. That is of great help.
I have submitted my phase two (pc pitstop) results last Friday, I have not seen an update that they have received this. This is already Thursday and I don't want to be disqualified for not sending this back to them in a timely manner. I sent it to the address given, I also sent a letter to them wondering if they had received this, and I have gotten no reply.
Any advise on this would be greatly appreciated as I really want to be involved in this.
Also, do you know what happens after you are done with the temp job? Are you an employee for future jobs?
I wouldn't be able to do a temp job as I would have to give up my hours at my regular job. I would need a solid offer.
Thanks all!!

I'm in the same boat as you. I paid an extra $90 a month to increase my DSL and sent them the new results as they requested and two weeks have passed and I have sent the results 3 times with 3 letters. They have not replied to any of them. I am beginning to think they are not getting them, since they always responded before. I really don't know if I should keep this DSL since it is so expensive. Keep me up to date on how you come out and I will let you know if I hear anything also.

Nora and Tigerlady or anyone else that can answer this question....
I was just emailed by human resources regarding the DTV temp job. I was wondering if this is full time for two weeks or if this is part time and if anyone knows the hours they are requiring for this.
I am working at another job and want to make sure I don't blow my chances before I can commit to something and not know what I am signing up for first.
Any help would be appreciated.
Also, do you get paid the 9.00/hour for training too?

Hi Dee,
I just resigned from the DTV program..if you accept, they will send you what hours are available..i had chosen 36 hours per week working the 7pm-1am shift with Th/Fri off..cloud10 is a great company but i have high concerns for this paticular project..they are training now but are unsure if they are going to start on the original Feb 13th date or wait until June..they are going to make their decision depending on how many stations report they are going to change over in Feb ..stations can get permission to do this from the FCC..which means that all over the country viewing areas, some channels will require the box, others will be both analog and digital and some channels will wait..a lot of channel numbers will be changing also..what this tells me is we will have to know area channel updates almost daily as the FCC approves or denys..again, cloud10 is going to wait and see if they are going to start employees in Feb or wait until June..training is paid by a bonus of $50.00 AFTER you complete the project (all your shifts)..for me it just sounds like a big mess lol..this is the info i got from cloud10 though..im sitting this one out and waiting for another project..good luck to those who take it though!!

Hi Tigerlady,
Thank you so much for your info on that. Yes, I did just sign up for this project and scheduled a telephone interview on Monday. I will ask them about this too when I have them on the phone. Since I was also wondering about this myself because the date has been pushed back to June. I don't want to be just waiting for this project until June. I would rather do something now.
The only other job that I saw on the page where you schedule your telephone interview, is a sales job. I was wondering about that too. I don't think I would be interested if they mostly have sales jobs.
Could anyone help on this one?
I guess I could just do the phone interview on Monday and go from there because I don't want to spend the money on a headset right now if they are not hiring immediately.
I think they must be confused as I just received this information wanting me to apply for the DTV job this morning.
Thanks again!!!

deesunshine,
I had my interview for the DTV program today and my training starts tomorrow. They didn't say anything to me about waiting till June, but I guess they might during training, so I will have to wait and see. Good luck with your interview. Hopefully we will both be working on this job right away. As you, I need something now, not months from now.

Thanks ML!!
I will keep you posted. Interview with them shortly. I am excited and nervous. I do hope this will be something more long term eventually. I am not giving much notice to my current employer..but I am hoping Cloud 10 will work out for something longer than a temp job.
Thanks for your input.

Hi all,
I just had my interview and got hired as well. I start my training tomorrow.
I just had a question....if anyone knows the answer...I know this is a silly question, but I should have thought about asking it..what about breaks?
What if you need a "potty" break. Are you allowed to put yourself on hold?
Any help on this would be great.
Also, I was wondering if this just hurt my chances of getting hired on directly from the company or helped it. I really just wanted to get my foot in the door.
Thanks all!!

Anyone do the training today for DTV? I am wondering if we are supposed to be emailed to find out our next step? I was hoping I would have received an email this evening for more information. Let me know if anyone has some info on this!
Thanks

I have been working w/ there help desk for days now and hours to get my downloads they need to work and to boot you dont get paid for that time which is a lot. I am due to start Monday at 6am I have heard they want you there by 5:30 am w/o pay not sitting well with me. it took them 4 days to clear a problem I had. I just dont feel good about it all and they even have a pool how we are doing and it is in the poor by far. think before you come here just my 2 cents good luck

hey suffolgirl, I am also working the DTV project. I have been online since Saturday 5am trying to get someone at Cloud10 to help me resolve software issues. I have been in their Breeze Rooms waiting my turn and suddenly hear "You have been asked to leave" and then booted out. This has happened four times after waiting hours to get help. The job was to start this past Monday and I have not had any help and cannot take calls but I am still there trying to get someone to help me. Is this worth the trouble? Anybody got any answers?

I am also on the DTV project and I haven't had one problem. I've been getting live calls since Feb 16. The feel I got yesterday while in chat was most of the agents are not understanding which application to use for cust calls. I think the breezerooms are so full just to help get people started but it will get better. I'm lovin it!

Cloud 10 is the worst company I have worked for. They wait till project has started before resolving issues. If you have any issues due to their system, they make it sound like its your problem. They dont even answer you questions properly. They are terribly disorganized. I dont think they themselves know whats going on. I was on the DTV project which is a complete mess. After 3 days of working they cut me and I think 200 other agents of because of technical issues that they were supposed to resolve before the project got under way. Cloud 10 wasted my time, and they did not even apologize. I am highly disappointed!

Cloud 10 Corp just hired a whole lot of people from all over US to help answer the phones for FCC regarding the analog to digital transition. Last night they terminated a significant amount of the people by terminating the accounts on their server. So the people were booted off the server and not able to re-log back on. Some of those people got an email saying they were let go but most had no warning at all. So Cloud 10 is not as great as they say. Their whole company is disorganized, they do not support their employees at all. They only contact you through email or chat and do not respond to phone calls. So you might want to find a different company to work for. The ones that are left on the DTV project are walking on egg shells. Not a nice feeling always wondering if your next.

Jenna,
I couldn't have said it better myself. The same exact thing happened to me. For no reason I got cut off. All of my software was working perfectly. I was even getting calls. Then I went and came back and all of my passwords weren't working. No way to get a hold of anyone to find out what was going on.
After a solid week of my time and many many hours of doing EVERYTHING they asked of me. For NO reason what so ever and no warning...just cut me off.
Very unprofessional company. The moderators were extremely rude.
I would highly advise people seriously thinking twice before working for this company.
I have 20 years experience in this line of work, and I have never been treating with such blatent disrespect.
Look elsewhere.

I am thinking of applying for cloud 10. Has anyone worked for them long term. I do not want to do the temporary digital tv job. I am looking for something long term. I did see that someone worked for t-mobile and someone else worked for comcast. How long does it take to get one of these jobs and what other things does cloud 10 do?

Well I worked for them this whole week and I never, neveeerrr saw a "company"
That is so desorganised like they are. If I was a company that needed a call center I will definetely never use them.
They had technical issues from day one, we should have been trained and informed way before the actual start day.

They had no respect for us in the helpdesk we were threated like some low class worker comin from a third world country.

The info were changing every 2 min, one day we were told that we were going to get paid even with the technical Touchstar issues not being able to login and next day we weren't going to get paid cause we were not in Touchstar.
They fired people badly a lady was talkin with me on the chat and receiving calls fine and had many test calls and everything was fine and sudenly her system had issue and like 2 min later she received an email saying that they couldn't help her and that she was terminated. It felt just like they did that on purpose.
Everybody was in a total stress that they could be fired anytime.
Next day in the end of my weekly shift saying that :

In great disappointment, we have received instructions from our client to terminate our project, effective 12:01am EST, Friday February 20. As a result we are forced to terminate your independent contractor arrangement with Cloud 10.

There's no word to explain how desapointed I am.
Me personnaly I do not depend on him to pay my bills, that was just an extra but I'm thinkin about people who really had a hope to make some money to pay their bills and have a job.

This is sad

Thank you for understanding our frustration and sharing yours. It must have been overwhelming. One comment is regarding routers. I reviewed all emails, documentation, and weblinks provided during training and found where it indicated no wireless connections were allowed but did not find any mention of routers. For those of you who knew this, where did you find or learn that information?
