Hi

This thread sounds just like the forum in GibLink, quite a few people lucked in by signing up early and got payouts over and above their investment, unfortunately these people are now propogating the myth that just by signing up you get easy money. This is not the case unless as I say you were in very early and those pod things popped or whatever they do.

Basic summary of the system, I do not understand the revenue plan, sure there are products that each member can sell (web hosting etc) and some of this profit is returned to all paid up members, how much and when is anybody's guess. The made a fortune in 2 days myth has single handedly kept the solo ad providers in business for the past 4 weeks, if it pays out some money all well and good, don't sell your children if you are going to invest on that basis.

What it is!!

Is a very good business networking site, there are some people within it who have grasped this fact and are using it correctly, others spend all their time worrying about pod popping. It has a number of ways of soft and hard marketing, members can start clubs, create blogs, place ads etc that attract others who share interests, you are then able to interact with these people and make contact with their contacts, pretty straightforward networking site so far. The attraction of it to me is that everyone within the network that you make has paid $150 to be there. Rather than worry about the pods, I see this as an ideal way to contact people who have disposable income and a willingness to buy. Basically they are paid opt in leads, although if approached correctly they do not know it.

I have created a few clubs, written some blogs on areas that I know something about and have an extended network of over 3,000 within 3 weeks. I have not attempted to sell anything as of yet, but do of course have one or two opportunities in my back pocket that can be introduced once the relationships are warmer and a degree of trust obtained. As with any form of networking the key is not to try and sell but to gain interest so that people want to buy. Discrete signitures on all my posts has attracted considerable interest and has resulted in business that far outweighs the $150 entrance fee.

If you are interested in the more subtle forms of marketing and networking it is a good opportunity, if you want to count money it is not.

I do not pretend to understand the comp plan but all the indicators within the site and the quality of external advertisers that they are getting is that it is not a ponzi.

Sorry the post is so long but a more balanced view might provide better information to those who may want to sign but do not fall for the get rich quick speel. Do note, Gibline is not in my sig so if you want to sign up go google the site and sign up from that.

Regards

Maricel

Quoting: gordon
Eventually the owners will try and keep the thing going - the sole
purpose of which is to milk every last cent out of the gullible
public - with promises of major new initiatives. But sadly those
promises will never materialise.

There will always be people like Gordon posting these kind of messages, saying that most businesses out on the internet are fake except the one he belongs to.
You are probably upset because you missed to join gibLink earlier, but hey, you can always contact me.

Is this is your way of building your downline, then all the power to you.

I'd say, wait on the opportunity and join the networking site.

There are dozens if not hundreds of business/social networking
websites. Giblink's assumption that they will eclipse Myspace
is ludicrous.

I've seen great social networking sites fizzle. Some even had
upgrade plans where people could make some money.

I have a pretty good nose for Ponzi's and scams. Most
opportunities that go around are pretty legit, mostly
unoriginal hyped-up and without a very good product... but
still legit.

I don't feel this way about GibLink and its plan for everybody
to make a lot of money. Just work out the numbers. Its
mathematically very unlikely you'll turn a profit on sales of
positions, and even more unlikely the people you bring in will.

I joined Giblink, but asked for and received a refund.

There are many questions about the legality of this site. I got in during the hype and did not stop to think. I

I left for a few other reasons besides the number showing that this is a ponzi. One I did not like having to use GMC something that did after I joined. Another problem was that most of the features were not working. I have also heard people who purchased domains and hosting who were having problems.

Hi Marriane,

Everyone!!

I think that there are going to be problems with people rejoining, a few at the very start made some money via sign ups, but the quarterly ad revenue share of $4 has left a lot of people thinking seriously about resigning another $150. I have never tried to sign up referrals to this programme, but joined it for the networking opportunities that it provided.

I must say that I am extremely disappointed in it, the only real traffic driver was the forum and that was closed down. It is virtually impossible to use the platform after the US wakes up as it is so slow, placing a classified ad is very difficult due to unresolved system bugs and the volume placed means that an ad is never on the front page for more than a few minutes.

I think that Gib will have to get its act together very quickly or there will be a mass exodus over the next few weeks as renewals become due. As a business networking tool it had exciting possibilities, but I think 3 months is long enough to resolve the bugs that still make the system unusable.

Regards

M

Well it also depends on why someone joins gibLink it seems. I joined to earn extra money and I can say I am VERY happy with the results!!

It is not a get rich quick scheme but the pay plan is very generous!! I am going to renew for sure - I really believe it is going to be BIG very very soon.

Also the idea of everyone starting in a straight line is fair to all.

I think Maricel that you should give it a little bit more time and I am sure you will not be disappointed!! I wish you the best of luck in whatever you are doing.

I have earned $185 till today. My referrals are still in line 1 and when they pop to line 2 (which will be very soon now) I will get 100% bonus on their first pod!!

Also with the 'renewals' I expect to make it to Line 3 very soon - and get paid for two of my pods!!

PRO membership (3 PODS) is advisable as the pods continue climbing whereas a STANDARD (1 POD) member remains in Line 1. Once you join you cannot upgrade!! Also as a PRO member, if you do not refer other people, you will still continue in the lines - a passive income!

I see gibLink as a very good 'investment'.

In fact I would like to ask Maricel - did you join as PRO or as STANDARD ?

I joined as Pro,

The key to making easy money with Giblink was to get in within the first 10 days, sign ups were reletavely easy, once the advertising got saturated it was not really worth trying, also because I joined primarily for the networking aspect, I was unable to promote this opportunity to any of my list as quite simply, technically, it did not work. I need to maintain credibility with the modest list that I have and introducing them to a saturated programme that does not meet its objectives is not the way to proceed.

Taking down the forum was a complete disaster, signitures and the ad section worked very well, lots of interested like minded peole who had actually paid to be in the programme is very fertile ground for building relationships, unfortunately once the forum closed the technical limitations were very apparent.

Have you tried placing classified ads, creating a club or a blog? if so you will understand what I mean, the process is traumatic and incredibly time consuming and that is once you are used to the missing links and programme bugs, Gibline has turned into something of a cult for quite a few people because of the nature of the payplan and the fact a lot of first timers got in early and made decent money (good luck to them). However, I fear that the days of easy money are over and the same people that saw Gib as a religion to be followed at all costs will soon lose their faith when they do not automatically get the renewal commissions that they saw first time around. If you are making money from it, well done, unfortunately it does not meet the standards that it set out too. Even though I have over 60 direct contacts and an extended contact list of over 3,000 it is virtually impossible to contact any of them. I will not be renewing, which is a pity as I thought it had godd possibilities.

Good luck

M

A little over 3 months ago Giblink exploded on the scene as the first Social/Business Network to ever share it's revenue with it's members. Over 30,000 members jumped on board within the first
2 1/2 months.

The "vision" of giblink was to build a foundation, a medium, for business owners and entrepeneurs from all over the globe to network, build relationships and their businesses. AND get paid for doing it.

NOW, there are members from 150 countries, from all walks of life, that share this same vision. Many 1000's have already began to share in the revenue and get exposure to their primary businesses, AND this is just the beginning!

One of the things that sets Giblink apart is their "noone left behind" concept. They have leveled the playing field for successful marketers as well as entrepeneurs who have had difficulty getting off the ground in other businesses. Everyone who joins Giblink gets paid!

Now "Phase II":

In most cases, with online opportunites and most mlm, it's the first folks who get in who really reap the rewards. Not with Giblink! On Dec. 10th, the 90 day renewal began. Everyone who joined from the beginning, depending on their time stamp, began to renew their membership and boost all the others who joined later up the ladder. This will go on indefinately! SO there's NEVER a bad time to join giblink.

That being said, SOON Giblink will open it's doors to free subscribers. This is the element that made Myspace, Facebook,..... and others the giants they are today. Do they revenue share? Nope.

What's next-Alexa ratings will climb, Advertising revenue will soar, and guess who benefits, the members.

SO, folks, you may have seen ads for Giblink a thousand times and passed it off as being just another "opp". Don't let skepticism keep you from reaching your goals any longer.

Again, timing is everything, when it comes to Giblink. But this sure would be a great time to get in.

ALSO makes an awesome gift. Just ask my wife!

Hi all,

Giblink has re-explained their comp plan and it makes much more sense now. It was very confusing at first, which turned some people away. Their comp plan is available via download in PDF format for anyone to read. I highly recommend it if you are looking into Giblink or you are already part of it.

I have to admit, I fell for the hype and paid my $150 quarterly fee back in late October. I've spent more than that online, so I figured I would give it a shot.

I have made my money back and reinvested the profits by buying myself another position under me. My strategy is to take any profits and reinvesting them back into building my own downline.

I did sponsor a couple of people since then and guess what, the system does work. One of my downline members signed up, did absolutely nothing and made her money back plus made a little extra ($20) or so. Of course, you won't get rich by not doing anything but if you do put some effort into it, you may be able to create a little better income for yourself.

I'm not a cheerleader for Giblink. I'm not asking you to sign up under me (unless you want to . I'm just giving you first-hand account of my personal results with the system.

Good luck to you all and take care,

Guillermo

I joined as a pro member a little over 3 months ago (I know because I just got billed again...forgot to cancel the subscription! Darn!).

Anyway, I couldn't be more dissatisfied. I got it because another marketing friend of mine is in. Granted, he mentioned it would be more of a long-term income. No problem there. I'm patient. I really don't promote things until after I'm a member for 3 months (usually...or, at the very least, until after I research the program for at least 3 months and monitor it). I wanted to check out their passive income plan anyway, so it worked out rather well.

I did earn some money passively...about 9 bucks. :-p So, I have now paid $300 and made $9. Not sure I'm seeing anything worthwhile there. If you promote it a bunch, I'm sure the commissions are good, but there was a lot of hype about the passive commissions, and that hype was not delivered on at all for me. Just my two cents (out of the 9 dollars ), for whatever it's worth.

Rome wasn't built in a day! (Don't you just hate when people say that?) But it's a true statement. I'm also a member of Giblink and I'm more than satisfied with the results.

If you join Giblink looking to be completely passive you have to understand it's more of a long-term income. This is something you should be in for the long haul, but at the same time......it's just getting started. It's only 3 months old! I honestly believe things are going to start moving at a much faster pace in the next few months, but for now I'm focused on building my 2x2magic team. Giblink will be around for years and years to come.....

Ok, I understand that. Long-term income is fine. But if you're paying $150 every 3 months and not making even a tenth of that back, then I think you have a failing program. The more people you have onboard, the more people that have to be paid...thus...it's only going to get stretched out more thinly. 2x2 seems great, though. I've been watching it carefully... That one will at least not suck up a ton of money every 3 months just to give $10 back. lol

PS And all I was saying is that their hype was all about the passivity..."No one left behind!" Well, it's sadly just false. I checked whether their promise was true, and now I'm dusting my shoes off from the Stampede of a few people that just went through. Maybe they'll have something later, but their comp plan (or their advertising campaign) needs an adjustment. Something has to give somewhere.

The company charged me with an auto renew that I did not sign up for.
They grossly exagerted income claims and their payout plan
is definately flawed. I have asked for my refund a dozen times and they ignore all my emails.
I am moving with legal action and have a good discusions with credit card companys.

Anyone else having this happen, let's class action them.

You signed up with auto renew when you joined Giblink. The company explains the auto renew process when you sign up. Also, there's an option to cancel the auto renew in the back office. Legal action?

I am amazed at all the negativity what business in the world makes there money back that they invest in three months NONE! unless its illegal. How long did it take myspace and facebook to get well known and when they did what did they share with its members NOTHING! Giblink is LONGTERM! Giblink is not just for making a passive income it is a one stop shop for people to advertise their business then as a by product its members share in the revenue. The more advertisers to come along the more revenue to share. You might say that Giblink members are share holders that have a place to advertise their business. Its a place where entrepreneurs can bounce ideas of each other to better their businesses. Granted mistakes were made but what business dosen't make mistakes when it first starts. It took myspace, facebook years to get off the ground even yahoo and microsoft. Yahoo offered 44 billion dollars from microsoft geeeze i would like a share of that Microsft is still making mistakes with all the security holes in their operating system. Giblink is about to launch a new website hopfully a faster better one too but its all about learning along the way and better still Giblink is DEBIT FREE and what business can claim that too in its first three months. Lets see what its like in five years time just like the rest of the big boys took to get the cash cow moving

and to add to the last post you can make your money back all you need to do is to get ten people to sign up and you make 15 dollars each so there is your 150 dollars back the when they re sign you get another 150 dollars plus the bonuses on top. Since when do you make a lot of money for doing nothing you might make a little but if you put in the effort you will make a lot more

I have been in Giblink for 6 months. I have earned a whole $13 WOW...LOL Forget the crap about not sponsoring anyone. Forget the crap about getting more pods when you pay every three months @$50 a month. I still have 3 pods!!! I have never cycled or got anything.
Once enough new Pods total 5 beneath your first 1, it's bumped to the next level. (where do these new PODS come form and how to they get bumped??....Your next 2 pods follow behind, and each time they bump to the next level, 2 more are created on the previous level. (Which will generate income, as well.)

Each time your pods go from level 1 to level 2 (5 downline pods bump them) you get $50 each. Then from level 2 to 3, $100. Each time they move to the next level your revenue doubles ($50-100-200-400-800-1600...) There's no upper limit defined.
Each move from one to the next level is referred to as a "cycle"

No one ever told me exactly what I have to do to make all this happen. All the advertising says just get 3 pods...yeah right!!
6 months and no more pods... no cycling...no anything.....
So what is the REAL truth??

JIM

Jim - just some clarification - I note your post dated Feb22, as of that date giblink was 5 months old but you state you had been in it for 6 months - and as of that date everybody who joined up to the 13th of Oct had moved to line 2 (18000 people all earning their $100 each), and everybody up to the 12th of Sept had moved to line 3 (1700 people earning a total of $800 each), you would also have received $19.53 in General Revenue bonuses, had you shared giblink with 10 others you would also have recieved $150 in sales commissions in your first 3 months with probably 7 more renewals worth a further $105 in the next 3 months, and been qualified for the Executive Revenue Share a further $173.31 and if you truly have been in giblink for 6 months and sponsored your 10 in that month - they too would have cycled earning you a further $500+ a total for you of $800+$19.53+$150+$105+$173.31+$500+ = $1747.84+ everybody else has received their extra revenue earning pods on renewals, and don't forget that in the next 6 months you will earn more than double this and if you have done as they suggest and sponsored 10 you will be earning a 6 figure income in a few years, as well as enjoying meeting other entrepreneurs and business opps within the networking community - all your answers regarding pods would have been answered by visiting the appropriate clubs and chat rooms. You may very well complain that giblink will not make you a fortune overnight, or give you money for nothing but to say that it is a scam or that it does not pay or have a long term vision that will pay handsomely is to speak foolishly or down right dishonestly.
