Quoting: Iamconfused Hey guys, I posted an awesome article the other day..no hits on google yet, but it will be on there soon. I saw that my article was requested 6 times..what does that mean? Does that mean someone asked to copy my article, and post it somewhere else?
If you are talking about Goarticles.com, it simply means the number of times your article has been downloaded.

Ok... I'm so new to all this... from what I understand, affiliate marketing is getting paid to sell someone else's product? Do you have to ship it out to customers yourself? How do you get paid... are you mailed checks or is there direct deposit available?
I have to say all of this interests me a lot.

It pretty much works like that. For example, suppose you are promoting a weight loss ebook that sells for $40. You can get a percentage of the sale if someone purchased through your link - usually about 50% of the purchase price, or in this case $20 (minus a small transaction fee).
You don't have to worry about shipping, because most products are delivered via an instant download.
You can promote physical products, but even in that case, you don't have to worry about shipping, because all you are really doing is referring someone to the merchant - everything else takes care of itself.
Most affiliate networks will pay you via check, although some will pay you via Paypal, or even direct deposit.

getagrip is right! You only need to refer the client, the rest is done by the merchant..

Quoting: astudio Hello new to this so is Average Joe Income Package worth $57 rather than asking whether it's worth it or not, why not just buy and try it? if it doesn't help, go to clickbank and request for a refund (dont ask from the merchant himself) and say like u did not benefit from it. It always works. But I mean if it REALLY doesn't work for you, don't be a bs and refund every single book :P

If you want to be average, then buy average Joe or Jill or whatever it's called.
If you want to be a pro, then sign-up free with EDC Gold and see first hand how the pro's do it...

No, I wouldn't transfer it. You have a really good blog. You could try wordpress.com or wordpress.org sometime to see if you like it better.

I don't know if we are talking about the same thing but I bought a program that was advertised as "A home based business for the average Joe" and it DID teach me how to take my business on-line and automate it. I spent a few hours every few days on it at first but once I got everything set up the system pretty much worked itself. He teaches not only how to set up a business and find buyers who want your product but also how to build a subscriber list and follow up with them to get them to buy. I'm sure I would not have been able to get as far as fast as I did without help. I was basically paddling upstream and barely breaking even. Now I have a profitable business.

Oh, I meant that the "only need to refer the client" part is a whole entire subject itself.

I get that part. What I wanted to understand is why referring the client is difficult.
And, I also wanted to ask... how are returns handled, when it comes to affiliate marketing? When can you know how much is going to be deducted from your profits because of customer returns?

Maybe it's easier to understand if I said why aren't you and I millionaires by now?
(1) Stiff competition. How to ensure that people buy through your link? (2) What are the products that'll really convert? (3) Gravity is high for a particular product in ClickBank Marketplace. You search for that product in Google, and oops, you're a tad too late. There are 5 pages worth of sponsored ads. Another thing is, where does the gravity really come from? Nah not from sponsored ads, it's from selling to a list. (4) People don't treat it like a real business. They have no plans, no plannings, no contingencies. They are blinded by the money. (5) Why should I buy from your link instead of my own affiliate link? (Well that's if I know I can buy through my own link in e 1st place) (6) Many more...
Curious, have u been successful?

Referring a client is difficult because that is the definition of 'affiliate marketing'. You will be selling an information product, such as an ebook. You will be marketing that product, and in order to get buyers, you will need to get a lot of website visitors that are interested in your product. It is hard because there is a lot of competition.
Returns are handled by clickbank. You don't have to do anything. If they want a refund, they contact clickbank, and clickbank gives them their money back. They will take it out of your earnings, and you can tell when someone got a refund because in your clickbank account you will see a chart that tells you if you have any refunds.

I own about 10 websites now and am wondering if this would be a good thing for me to try. is it fairly easy? I am still learning html ect. So its not easy for me when I have to do coding and all of that stuff. I need some great ways to make money since most of my websites are smaller sites that dont make lots of money.
I dont care about making a ton of money but if I even made $50 - $200 a month it would help pay off some bills. Of course more would be better. But I only have about 5 hours a day max. to work online. Would that be enough to keep making that much cash?

You know it seems that once someone comes up with a good product, that there is always someone that wants to take advantage of all that persons work. Prime example is the Average Joe Income Package, now there is a site known as the Average Joe Marketer, which costs $20 more, and makes all those insane promises so many other Get Rich Quick sites offer. The only two, and I've been doing a lot of research believe me, that seem worth while are the Average Joe Income Package, and the Profit Lance program, which from all reports is just a little more advanced.
If you believe I'm wrong, please suggest any other sites to review.

In that amount of time you should be able to make that kind of money with affiliate marketing. This method i have found quite easy to apply to your website and you should have much trouble adding to yours.

You don't need to learn html. Go to www.bluevoda.com and you can create a website from scratch with no html knowledge. $10/month hosting. No, its not easy to make money with affiliate marketing. It gets easier once you know how to do it properly. It takes a bit of time and practice.

I guess the more things you have going the more money you have coming in. I read in another forum where a man was bringing in over $5000 a month from google adsense But he had over 200 small sites. To me that is a bit to much work. But still I guess in the end it was worth the work. I will stick with about 4 sites going and a couple of blogs maybe.
