Hi Angela,
I understand your frustration. It's like a catch 22, huh? Like the old addage goes, "It takes money to make money." I can certainly empathize with you because I grew up in a poor family and fournd it very difficult to break out of the rut.
Now, Angela, after having said that, I would like to offer my advice in hopes that it will help you.
If you believe that Passport to Wealth is THE thing that will help you to achieve financial freedom, as long as no one has offered to give you the money, here is my suggestion:
1) Be patient...good things come to those who wait until the timing is right.
2) Don't give up on your dreams. You have a dream and just because it might not happen rignt now doesn't mean it w�ll never come true.
3) Find a way to obtain the money you need to start your business. One of the ways you might be able to get the money is to work at something else that doesn't require a monetary investment. There are other legitimate opportunities out there that offer such an opportunity...such as the one I am involved in.
4) Take a part-time job to earn the money you need to invest. If you don't already have a job, take a job.

Someone on my team offers a Webinar weekly on Thursday evenings - 3 hours in length - It covers FREE Marketing methods for PP2W that lead to sales. She's been very successful with PP2W using free marketing and is willing to teach those of us who have little marketing experience how to get the same success.
I signed up for the webinar tonight. There is a small fee of $10. Well worth it, I think.

The webinar was helpful. It lasted about 2.5 hours. The "students" were on mute status, but we could ask questions via instant messaging. The woman who conducted the webinar has a financial consulting business of some sort, worked for the IRS in the past and continues to consult with high level business people in matters relating to taxes.
The email invitation to the webinar stated the following:

The instructions were easy to follow. All marketing methods suggested were free. Jean showed lots of enthusiasm and a real "you can do this" spirit. She says she only puts 1 hour per day into marketing the business. She also offered to critique ads sent to her via email. She has two sons in their late teens/early 20's and states that she plans to help them start PP2W businesses of their own soon.
I will have time tomorrow to implement the strategies she taught. I'll continue to update this posting. Thanks David for the reminder. I didn't know I had a following!

Hi To PP2W Members,
I very seldom have time to view post in this forum, but I found my way over here and just maybe...I can give you some insight on free advertising. I've been doing it for 10 of my 15 years online. Yes, you can take a newbie and actually teach them how to make money without spending a dime. You see, back when I came online, I got hit by every scam artist on the net. It took a few thousand dollars before I figured out that to learn this business, I was going to have to learn it myself. Nobody was willing to tell all, they took your money and only told you half. What good it that crap?
So I started my journey in search engine optimization. That took me many other places. After 10 years of this stuff, I am still learning new techniques. So how can anyone learn all this stuff? You have to find someone willing to be open and honest. Once you learn it, you can apply it to any online business and make money...the more you apply it, the more money you'll make.
I now teach all there is to know (or I know) about 10 different methods that create wealth, yes even PP2W. And NO, I do not need anymore students. I am writing this to give you some good advice. Do not avoid the organic search engines. Learn how they work and apply some techniques. You can find articles on SEO all over the place. Most of it is true, some of it is just people who think they know something.
Back to a post I was reading about EDC-Gold. Anyone who has a business mind will always choose the product that is presented the best. I don't care if PP2W copied every product, compensation plan, whatever. They have put together an eye catching web site. That to me means SALES. Learn some free advertising techniques and you can sell them both !! Just kidding of course. You people have an awesome day and I hope all of you make big money with PP2W.

I was very active in P2W at one point in time. The business itself was profitable, but I wasn't into the product. In fact, I was always very honest with all my prospects and explained that the "software" package was really just a "front" for the opportunity (which is the case with many home business opportunities)
What I'm finding now as businesses get more abundant is that people are actually looking for businesses that have products that hold a real "value"... something they can and will use or want.
PLEASE don't take this that I'm bashing P2W, there is a great opportunity to make money with it, but when researching your home business - keep in mind that you will attract like-minded people, so do your DD and find a product that excites you. One that you are excited to sell. You will be far more successful when you truly LOVE the product you promote!

Hello Terry-
How's everything going over here at the P2W section? I couldn't agree with you more regarding the product. I have checked out numerous opportunities in the past several months. It finally dawned on me how important your belief in the product is, when a Goji Juice (Goji berry/nutritional product) distributor asked me " well what are you more passionate about, helping improve people's health and wellness or travel?"
At that time I had my biz opp search narrowed down to jucies and travel related opportunities.I have always had reservations about the health claims of the nutritional products, and thus felt I couldn't really buy into the product line. I have always enjoyed travel and could easily back and feel good about a travel related product. Through further research I luckily stumbled upon GRN and Team Central.
I can also tell you that I have sold other products or services in traditional businesses that I truly didn't believe in, and I totally flopped trying to promote it. A great example was my 3 week stint as a sub-prime mortgage loan officer. We were charging fees out the ying-yang for people with sub-par credit, knowing that they would return in 1-2 yrs, to refinance again, because they just dug a deeper hole than before. Sure we can talk about personal responsibility, and it was their own fault, but it just wasn't right to offer these products for my personal gain at the expense of others. So I left in frustration, and I never closed a deal. But guess what, I kept my integrity and ethics, which is more important than anything you can do in business.
So indeed, product does matter and your belief and feelings towards it. Best of uck to all of you P2W's. Come check out the travel biz I found if you love to travel. And by gosh, I really don't know many people who don't like to travel.

heistheanswer, or anyone for that matter, I have been in this business now for 3 months and I haven't made one sale, now all I have done is free advertising, but I've done all the big free advertising places such as myspace and youtube, craigslist and others but these are the three biggest that people will recognize, anyway even using these three giants to advertise and all the smaller places I've put ads, free advertisng has done absolutly notheing for me, I told myself I would not get into PPC or any other form of paid advertising untill I at least made my money back, just so I could put it back into more advertising, but unfortunely I haven't even made my first qualifing sale yet, any suggestions from anyone out there??
What in the world should I do??

Personally, I think that's a good idea, given how these programs virtually 'guarantee' success and LOADS of cash!
They won't take you up on it because no program can deliver like it promises - the best you can hope for is a money back guarantee.
Everything else boils down to advertising hype.
ALL OF IT!!
If it were as 'money in the bank' as people are led to believe, anyone would be a fool not to take you up on such an offer. Just for the income sharing/downline profits alone, if not for interest on the 'loan'.
That's a good idea for ANY of these hi-cost to enter programs.
The trouble is, not everyone makes the money these programs claim.

You have to spend money to make money.
If you have a credit card and have the passion to generate money because you're working for yourself you'll make the money back. Heck we all go to work but your boss or company can let you go at in time. But we trade our TIME for Their little bit of money. There is no gurantees in life except you live and you die.
Work anything you do 110% and it will come back to you. Systems don't fail People do.

With anything out there you have to have a plan to work and then work that plan. Weather it's 1 hour a day or 5 hours a day. You have to expect the results you'll get from the amount of effort you put in. In otherwords if you only invest 1 hour a day you can't expect to make 5K a week, it's not possible. The other thing that you need to become successful is TEAM SUPPORT. If you don't have a supporrt system in place the odds of you failing are much greater because you don't have someone to help you reach your goals. I joined on Oct.21st and I put in about 5-10 hours a week after my family goes to bed usually. I've made my money back and some profit and that's good for me for the time that I can put in right now. 2-4K a month extra is good for me! I definitely recommend that whatever you do you should make sure they have a good solid team to back you up. Good luck

Hi Jason,
I couldn't agree more. Team support and mentoring is of the highest importance when joining ANY online business. Here's where the problem lays, however, with programs that offer a 1-Up or 2-Up type of compensation plan. Although lucrative to a degree, once those 1 or 2 sales are passed up, your "Mentor" or "Support" automatically becomes competition. I know there are saints out there, but in reality, that "Mentor" will have other people to support that he/she WILL make money from... so most often once you're "qualified", you're left to fend for yourself.
This is where payment plans like Perpetual Leverage become so attractive, especially for those just starting out. With perpetual leverage, your sponsor is paid for each and every sale you make throughout your business life. Not only that, but they're paid just as much from your sale/efforts as they are for their own sale/efforts, hence, they're far more motivated to get you up, running, and making sales as fast as possible. After all, most would rather make a $1000 sale based on somebody else's marketing dollars, efforts and time rather than your own, right? This is, after all, what it's all about. Making more, working less.
What's even better, and can help make people VERY successful is when you can combine this type of payment plan with a "Power of the Mastermind" type mentality, and network yourself with other business owners in the same program to "spread the support" through different people and talents. It works very well, and you'll find that your downline are far more motivated to learn and put forth effort when it's coming from a "group" rather than an "individual". Heck, most of the time this helps your new partners become "Leaders" on their own, naturally.

I haven't been on in a while due to the holiday madness, so I haven't posted my progress as promised. Sorry about that! I want to let everyone know that I made my 1st sale! Yahoo!! I used free advertising methods. I have one more sale to make and then I'll be qualified to earn all monies from future sales. I learned additional free advertising methods during the webinar this morning and will get to work after posting this. 2008 will be great!

PP2W- has been very exciting and with the new year around the corner, good things will start happening again. If you do research on our company you will find a ton of businesses trying to copy us but what we have overall is TEAM SUPPORT! Like MISongbird stated that's what keeps everyone going. I ditto everything that you guys said. I actually joined because of the TEAM SUPPORT we have. I understand that one might think that the 2 up stinks because you have to give up your first 2 sales, but I'd rather make $997 on each of my sales and have others giving me those as upposed to making less and having to try and do all the big commission sales myself. Now I know, different strokes for different folks. It comes down to what you want to do. There are so many "programs" out there and you just have to find the one that YOU feel comfortable with, then STICK WITH IT! That's why people fail, because they don't have the support and they don't stick with it. I made my first 3 sales in less than 15 days. I've been in since Oct 21st and have made a total of 6 sales. ALL FREE ADVERTISING too. You just have to be confident in what you do and you'll be successful. What you'll find with us is that we won't let you fail! People fail, systems don't, it's just a fact of life. Just find a company that you feel comfortable with, do your due diligence, join, then get ready for an exciting ride. Heck if it took you 1 year to be making an extra guaranteed 4K a month, that's still better than a lot of others out there and your only doing it part time. You get out of it what you put into it. Remember, there is NO SUCH THING AS GET RICH QUICK, but you CAN GET RICH. A little investment, time and effort is all it takes. An extra $4,000 per month after a year is a terrific increase in income. I didn't receive that big of a raise at any time in the 17 years I've been with my 9 to 5 employer, even after becoming the Program Director.

what even more amazing is take a look at your last paycheck of the year and see how much money you actually "netted" for 2007! Then see the taxes that the gov't took. I really wonder how I make through the year. So an extra $4000 to $8000 a year is a relaxing vacation for the family or a nite out on the town for me and my wife once. I'm just going to stick with PPTW for 08 because after being on the calls I know in the beginning of the year we're not going to be missing out on anything. The future looks bright for those of us who have took that leap of faith and have stuck it out. More details to come!

Happy Prosperous New Year!!
Just joined PTW in the end of November, but had not had time to get it running with a loss in our family on December 13th. However, now I am up and running, putting new advertisements in everyday. The leads are starting to trickle through and I know it is only a matter of time before it picks up even more.
Had a question for anyone out there that uses the managed marketing group at this time or in the recent past that has had successful sales from their program? It does intrigue me, as I am all for automation after years of making unwanted phone calls.
I do realize it is all about getting the most people in front of your website so it can do the "telling and the selling". Would be so sweet to have a steady stream right from the start, so we can build up our own marketing while a good income begins.

Our team is currently not using the MMC at this time. It just didn't seem to bring many sells from it. I'm under the impression that the two companies are still working on somethings. It will be a great tool in the near future with our new program coming out by the end of the month. Free Advertisting is the way to go! You only really need to help about 5 people per month to make around $15k!

Happy 2008, man this is going to be great for P2W. I've made 6 sales total since Oct21st and more to come. This is an amazingly blessing program and it all starts with the TEAM that we have. I am building a great team and helping others make money at the same time, how awesome is that. Good luck to everyone else out there. It's just a breath of fresh air to know that this is really working and that passport to wealth is going strong. You know Darren Gaudry is coming out with something new and all passport to wealth members I believe will be grandfathered in for free. I can't wait to see what this is going to do for our business. Has Anyone tried the Sales Center yet to close your deals?
We have over 60 people in our back office as Test runners and have about 4 come in a day average...we cant keep up!!! i know you have to give 2% of the sale..but looking at the back office..i think It may be worth it. Let me know if anyone has any feedback.

Lifesmoments08, I haven't used the Passport to wealth sales center and I have alot of unpaid referrals as well. However, not all of those test takers have their phone numbers to be reached at. So I've been emailing them which you can do directly through your passport to wealth back office. Sorry, can't tell you anything about the sales center and I don't know anyone that has used it, plus I think there's a monthly fee involved too. I would just try and email them directly, take care

Thanks Jason-Yes we have been emailing on a weekly basis just touching base with our test runners...but we have really been thinking of trying out the sales center for a month or 2 just to test it like we did w/ managed marketing in the beginiing-(wwe dont use this now) we realize there is a fee monthly and then when you close a sale...but we figured with the amt of prospects in the back office...its worth the hit to bring in some of those testers as a paid sale, ya know??
We cant be more excited about this oppurtunity- and are looking forward to the cash flow club- any idea when they are going to launch it...Jan 08 is here, lets get it up and going!!
