I am totally new to all of this. I really think this forum can help me. I am looking for a way to make an extra $1000 per month. When I look on the internet all I see are a lot of scams.
I really am a complete newbie. Actually I just got this home computer last month and it is my first one. I would like to use it to make the extra cash and do it from home.
Any advice on how to do this.
Has anyone tried Gavin Stone, typing4dollars.net?
Is it just another scam?
Thanks
Brad

I paid the $47 and got nothing but a small blog. I am pretty certain this is a scam.

I've never heard of it, sorry. Just do your research before you decide to buy something.

My advice would be to first figure out what you're good at or interest you and start sifting through those types of opportunities. You probably already realized that the net has tons of money making opportunities all over....and yes....there are many scams out there.
But there are equally as many legitimate businesses that you can research and check out. It's a little difficult to tell you exactly what you should do to make that extra income you need because we're not sure what interest you.
I think for me part of that "figure out" process was getting dirty and doing that initial study and research, hitting some bumps along the way, and realizing what would work for me. I know that may not sound pretty but you'd be surprised how much that process has an effect on your future success.

All good advice. Do you have experience in data entry or customer service or sales? It sounds like you are looking for a job and there are companies that hire but you need to have experience and a quiet area to work in. There are lists of these companies on my website and at wahm and probably here as well if I remember right.
The other option is to start your own business, either in direct sales, ebay, a service you can offer or even affiliate marketing. There are tons of businesses you can start but you really do need to determine what kinds of things you enjoy and are good at.

ebay is a great way for newbies to make money online. There are alot of good resources at ebay.com. As long as you do as much research as you can, and know all about ebay business, you should be able to make a good profit.

There is many companies out there ,some scams ,some not. Not all MLM's are bad either. Its just some give the industry a bad rep. Ripoffreport is a good site to dig up info on. When I see typing in a ad line I tend to run. There are SO many scams with these type of companies, data entry,type-at-home,envelope stuffing etc.
Reading the forums, asking questions, and gaining knowledge will all help a lot. $1000 a month is certainly attainable with the right company, compensation plan and importantly product. Are you looking for a business to get involved with or are you looking to organically start one? I.e. affliate marketing is a great start for newbies,as is Squidoo, article writing etc You will find numerous threads here about them and they will help you in as far as which road to take.
I wish you all the best

I think the reason so many consider mlm to be bad is because they were promised 'pie in the sky' if they got started and then when it didn't happen, they gave up and called it a scam.

LOL - I tried most of these and you are so right - they are scams..
cybermommy: Ripoffreport is a good site to dig up info on.
Even on rippoff - you need to use common sense as some people use it to vent their frustrations. I have seen articles on there about almost every company that has been around long enough. I saw one on there about Tupperware - lol, and we all know Tupperware is not a scam.
Sometimes a new company isn't on there, but only because it hasn't been around long enough for people to know that it IS a scam!
Research is good - but some people tend to get analysis paralysis after awhile and end up doing nothing. I think most of the successful people on here made some wrong choices and invested money into things that didn't work out before they found the right fit that just clicked for them.
I know I did! My husband almost disowned me when I tried the envelope stuffing thing TWICE.

HI!
I am new to this forum and have been having a peak. I wanted to put my 2 cents in....
Pretty much along the lines of everyone else, I have tried a number of different programs and products. I have tried both online and offline MLM and quite frankly was disappointed by both. Online my leader sent me a wealth of materials to pass on to my downline....with all his own links in, luckily I changed the ones I could, but he locked a few that weren't changable. That really was the crunch for me...your supposed to help your downline????
The offline was just too text book for me....they weren't happy when I would 'hassle' family and friends to join...NOT FOR ME I am afraid!
So I have looked at different avenues, My partner and I work full time, we also have a landscape business and I have sideline of selling decor alphabets and name scripts for kids rooms. It's not gonna make me a million but I enjoy it!!!!
So my other 'sideline' is Internet Marketing. I have looked into many products and have finally found 2 that are worth the money I have spent. I do make a little cash and it's early days.......
I think once you have founds something you can enjoy and learn from the main key is to stick with it....through great and hard times as you will come accross both!!!!
Good luck to all
Chris
