Quoting: makingbills1021 The info's great, but don't even try going into the forums... the people are brutal and mean.
The people are brutal and mean? Edward, I don't know what in the world you are talking about. Believe me, after spending some time over on the digitalpoint forums, I have a new appreciate for the Wealthy Affiliate forum.
Eva, I have a couple of videos out on Youtube that are designed to answer questions for those that are considering joining Wealthy Affiliate. If you go to youtube and search for "wealthy affiliate for beginners" you will find them. Take a look at those and see if they answer your questions.

Quoting: makingbills1021 I've tried WA (wealthy affiliate.) The info's great, but don't even try going into the forums... the people are brutal and mean.
You are full of it - Wealthy Affiliate has one of the most helpful and friendliest forums around. I don't know what your motives are, but ANYONE who has been a member of Wealthy Affiliate will tell you that your statement is way off base.
I challenge anyone who is reading this to find out for themselves, and come back here to report your experiences with Wealthy Affiliate. Even people who quit Wealthy Affiliate often post goodbye notes in the forum and THANK everyone for their help and support and say how awesome Wealthy Affiliate is...and many of these people come back to Wealthy Affiliate! That would NEVER happen if they didn't think Wealthy Affiliate is a friendly place!

Edward,
I was just about to sleep but I can't let this comment pass. I am also a member of WA and I could attest to the "brotherhood" that is shared in that community.
I have been a member for 5 months now and I have never experienced any rejection from the members no matter how silly my questions were especially when I was just starting out in this business.
And from the 5 months I've been there, I can say that I haven't read any post that is "brutal and mean". The people there are all very willing to help in one way or the other. Tutorials are being given for free, videos, ebooks, tips and tricks that some "gurus" would charge for at least $7 per tip.
One simple example was when I was trying to put up my first website and had difficulties due to lack of technical knowledge (I am a medical technologist so I know nothing about websites) but they have all been egging newbies to learn to put up a site because it's for their own good.
One member, helped me through YM chat, and almost literally held me by the hand on what I should do step-by-step. And everytime I hit a technical wall, there is always a helping hand, a video or a tutorial ready in the forums when I ask.
And that is just one example of the many silly tech stuff that I needed help from not to mention the marketing stuff. And again that is just one person, me. Imagine, a lot of me there who are asking help and who's getting it.
This has been a long post because I really do take offense for the "brutal and mean" remark to the people who have helped me to get to where I am right now.
I do hope that whoever made you any "brutal and mean" remark during your days in WA is no longer there so nobody else would experience the same thing, if what you say is true.
Work Hard, Play Hard!

I agree. I am an active Wealthy Affiliate Member, and have always felt completely comfortable in the WA forum, even when I was a beginner. A few days ago, I made a very helpful and kind post in a large very well known marketing forum and the vultures tried to eat me for supper! A man was very discouraged, and asked for help and inspiration to pick up himself and get going again. I sugegsted he watch The Secret DVD and my post was torn apart. I cannot believe anyone would have nothing better to do than tear up that movie. This never, ever would happen in the WA forum. I read posts daily at WA, of beginners who ask basic questions. The more experienced members always help out in a friendly and respectful manner. Perhaps you unfortunately read that one in a million negative post..there is one in every crowd. I assure you, the rest of the forum is a gold mine of helpful information based upon the real experiences of successful marketers. I hope you will reconsider. Have a great day, Victoria

Its sad, but that does happen in a lot of the "well known" internet marketing forums...you simply won't see that at Wealthy Affiliate.

before coming in here I was planning on purchasing Profit Lance, but since I like to confuse myself I read through all the posts in this topic. I think I might go with this one, any advice?
Thank You Merrie

Wealthy Affiliate all of the way! There are some very specific reason why I don't recommend Profit Lance. You can read about them here:

Wealthy Afilliate is really the way to go. I struggled for a while until I joined and really started to learn what I needed to know to start earning money online.
I would honestly recommend Wealthy Affiliate to my own mother if she wanted to learn to make money online.
To your success,
Michael

I was a member of WA for a while and can only sing its praises. I'm working full tilt on a money making project now and don't have time for their forum. When things calm down (soon) I'm probably going to go back.

I have spent countless hours trying to decide which if any IM program to join. I have heard nothing but positive things about WA. Here's my only concern....I am a complete beginner, I know nothing about IM. I have heard with hard work, a postive attitude, and the willing to learn, all of which I have, WA can show me the way. Please, honestly, is this the right program for a complete beginner. Thanks for you time, maybe I'll see you in the forum!

Yes, this is the right program for a complete beginner! Wealthy Affiliate's 8 week action plan will teach you step by step what you need to know, and if you need help or have questions, you can either contact Carson or Kyle, or get help in the forum.
The other program that I recommend for beginners in Build A Niche Store, but the only drawback is that you need to invest $97 up front, plus about $10 a month for hosting...but like Wealthy Affiliate, it is an awesome program!

I agree, Wa is an excellent product. When I joined I was a huge skeptic and I stated in my first post in the WA forum that after reading some of the info that I thought it was a scam but I had already paid for the month so i kept at it for a few more days.I just found out that I made my first 15.63.I know that it was pure luck and highly unlikely to make any money that quick and it may be a long time before i make any more because of my lack of knowledge but it feels good. After doing much research on WA and PL i went with WA but they seem pretty similar except for the forum in WA.Either way i don't think you can go wrong..see ya

By the way,i did not make that $15.63 promoting WA.That was what i origanally thought that it was all about and that is why i thought it was a scam but there are many other ways out there.Just thought you shoukd know that .see ya

Wealthy Affiliate is intended to have material for people of all experience levels. If you find there is something you do not understand, however, you can ask a question in their forum. Additionally, Kyle and Carson are available for mentoring and answering questions as well. Just ask about what you don't understand.

I was having a problem a few days ago, but its fine now. What you may want to do is lower your security settings - maybe you need to accept all cookies or something to that effect. Also, it may help to delete cookies and restart your computer - or try to log into the forum from a different computer. I hope this helps!

When I joined Wealthy Affiliates, I was sure that I was going to get all the information in my first month and then cancel and stop paying the monthly fee. It turns out that the information is so necessary and always being updated. So I have stayed with them for many months. The $29 a month has paid off with thousands of dollars in sales. I use this information to market my home business and its working.

Many thanks...

You can either send Kyle or Carson a PM if you get into the forum, or you can contact them via the main Wealthy Affiliate website - if you scroll down, you will see a "Contact" link at the botton of the screen.

I have been a member for a month and have learned a tremendous amount of techniques and knowledge. I have wasted a lot of money on internet marketing ebooks that did nothing for me. Carson (one of the Wealthy Affiliate owners) even gave me personal help on my website. I can't say enough about how much Wealthy Affiliate has helped me. My affiliate sales have almost tripled.

P.S. Jameszz, you can cancel the Wealthy Membership at any time, even during your first month and there is no cancelation fees or any catches.
Also, you get 14 dollars a month (every month) for every person who signs up under your Wealthy Affiliate link (you are given this link once you join). So if you get only 2 people to sign up under your link (which is very easy to do, I got my first sign up within 2 hours of joining Wealthy Affiliate) then you get Wealthy Affiliate for free.

Just got this email from Carson and Kyle - basically, if you join Wealthy Affiliate before April 2nd, 12:00 PM (Afternoon) Eastern Standard time, they will give you a copy of Inside The List for free, which normally sells for $49.95. This is an EXCELLENT ebook that teaches you how to make money with email marketing.
If you aren't able to take advantage of this offer, don't worry about it - Wealthy Affiliate will teach you plenty of what is covered in Inside The List through their learning resources, although this is the first time they are offereing Inside The List free of charge - just thought I'd mention it. Here is a copy of the email:
"Today is not only the first day of April, but a day where we are going to make you an offer that you WILL NOT BE ABLE TO RESIST.
Many of you have likely been on the fence with your decision to join Wealthy Affiliate. If you take the leap and join today we are going to give you something special and highly valuable! We are going to do something that we have never done before!
If you join Wealthy Affiliate within the next 24-hours (before April 2nd at NOON EST) we are going to give away one of our acclaimed and likely our most powerful e-books that we have ever written...Inside the List.
This e-book took almost 8 months for us to write and contains some of the most explosive list building information that you have ever gotten your hands on. When we launched this book, we charged $97 for it and it is now selling for $49.95!"

Do you have to make sales calls with this program? I hope not because I suck at that.

Hi Gailita,
I've got a lot of information about Wealthy Affiliate on my website and in my video, which should answer a lot of your questions.
You won't have to make any sales calls, however - Wealthy Affiliate teaches you how to market products 100% online. Wealthy Affiliate will teach you how to market anything from Archery Supplies to The Zone Diet - the possibilities are endless, and you will NEVER have to talk to someone face to face!
Build A Niche Store has some similarities to Wealthy Affiliate, but is also a lot different, but it is also a great program. Your main goal is to promote the eBay affiliate program - check out the thread below to learn more:
