Hi. I am new to this forum but I just wanted to tell every one who wants to work at home, dont give up! After 2 yrs searchin I found a job that I love! Have you heard of ChaCha yet? It is a new search engine with LIVE guides who find exactly what you are looking for. Go to chacha.com & enter what you want to know then click on search with a guide. I wanted a job that did not envolve talking on the phone or selling anything. I also wanted something that would let me work when & for as long as I wanted. Everyone said that that type job did not exist. But that is what I do with chacha. I am a guide. All work is done online. I just help people find what they are looking for & get paid. I work when i want to. I just log on & click avaliable & it sends searches to me. Theres no min. or max. hours. One of my favorite things though is I get paid when I want to! ChaCha open up a online bank account for me & whenever I wanted to be paid I just click pay me now & they automatically send it to my account. Dont give up, your perfect job is out there! & go check out chacha.com & search with a guide! You wouldnt believe how much better it is then regular search engines. let me know what you think if you check it out!

OK, I had to check ChaCha out simply because it's called ChaCha - how fun is that?
Actually, the guide found exactly what I was looking for. It only took a minute and she was VERY friendly and polite...it was fun! I give it two thumbs up!
Could you give us some more information on working for them? My Mom is in need of something part time and this looks like fun!
Thanks so much for sharing this with all of us!

To join ChaCha , you need an invite from an existing guide. Check out other work at home forums like wahm , they have a separate folder and you ask for an invite

I heard about ChaCha.com this morning (10/2) on "Good Morning America," so I went to check it out. But, I have a question, how the heck do you get onto the actualChaCha. site? When I typed chacha.com into my search engine, I found many listings aboutthe site, but I couldn't get on to the actual chacha.com site itself. Is the URL not chacha.com?
Thanks for helping me out.

I am a guide also. Chacha.com doesn't pay very good at all. For the last month I have been working 40 hours a week and only made around $200. The gimmick is that they actually have to be searching for something to make money - you can't just be online. And the time between the searches can be an hour or more sometimes. Then, once you finally do get a search job - it doesn't mean the system isn't going to freeze and you won't get paid at all. Today, I worked training someone (which you are supposed to get paid to do) for 20 some minutes and only got less than $2 in total for all the hard work. If you have time to waste (like me) and would like to make some pocket change like to go wash your car once a month - it is right for you. I wouldn't rely on it though.

Please keep in mind that ChaCha is still in "Alpha". That's even before "Beta", so there are bound to be alot of bugs.
I agree that I wouldn't work ChaCha solely but I do keep it minimized and they send over a popup for searches or trainings.
If you would like an invite, please email me at [email protected] with ChaCha Invite in the subject.

I do agree that at this time ChaCha is not effective if it is your sole source of income, but if you can keep ChaCha minimized while doing something else...or I even leave my laptop on the kitchen table and when I hear the doorbell ring (which means you are requested to search) I walk over to my laptop.
It is a work in progress, but the way that it is setup, you could make a decent income. If you are truly interested in receiving an invite and you are serious about working for ChaCha, email me at [email protected]. I have a few invites left.
I hope you have a good day!

There is quite a lengthy discussion of pros and cons over at http://www.wahm.com/forum . From what I could tell they were all - or had been - ChaCha guides so they were giving first-hand info.

I guess I'm a little behind on certain topics.
How does Chacha work? And how are you supposed to profit from it?

i'm actually a chacha guide right now. they changed how things are done and now the position is called "text sms guide". it's open enrollment (they did away with the "invites only" idea). if you have any questions, just ask.
