Hello All, This is the story of why I quit Silpada and joined AuraStella . I originally started by accident in party plan! I went to my friend's jewelry party, LOVED the jewelry and the concept and eventually signed on as a Silpada rep! I did no research into Silpada or any other direct selling companies. I went with my emotions! Even though I had just moved to Wisconsin, had just had a little baby and a very busy husband who travels for work, I went ahead and started. My first party was pretty lousy $150 in sales-barely a party!
As time went on I challenged myself to do better. I promoted and was in the top 3% of 26,000 representatives. I earned a trip to MAUI for my husband and I. I won a few small local awards. I was invited to the Silpada National Leadership conference in FEB 2008. I was working my business, but wanted more. As I looked around the ball-room at the Leadership Conference where 750 women were in attendance, my thought was "I started with Silpada at the wrong time." 750 leaders????!!! I honestly felt that I was doing mostly ALL the right things, sticking to the basics, but not growing. In my little state of WI 700 Silpada reps? In my town of 80,000 45-plus reps? ?? Let me tell you, Silpada IS a wonderful company with VERY talented women who really know how to SELL and LEAD. However, I started to feel guilty to sponsor people into a market that I know is saturated and I wanted a different opportunity-one where the growth potential was UNLIMITED. People use the term here "silpada-ed out". The last straw was when I called a past hostess and offered to do another show for her and she said "Maren, there is no way I could do a show for you. I have gone to 4 Silpada parties in the past 6 months and there are 3 invitations to Silpada shows right now sitting on my dresser." I knew I had to make a change. It was not me not being motivated to do the things required to succeed. It was not me fearing rejection or not making my calls or doing customer follow-up. In fact, I am sure if I would have continued with Silpada I probably would have moved up and continued to grow a team. BUT MUCH MORE SLOWLY and with LESS MONEY. I want results for my time, energy and effort. I do not want to complain at all about Silpada. I met many wonderful women and learned a lot in my almost 3 years there. The one thing I wish Silpada would do is limit the number of leaders in any one area. Shortly after that conference, I decided I WANTED MORE SUCCESS and the only way to achieve this without moving to an area where Silpada was less known, was to MAKE A CHANGE. I began a search for a NEW, FRESH jewelry company. I wanted to stay with jewelry because I LOVE jewelry and Sterling silver is a proven HIT with women. I analyzed the quality of the jewelry, the comp plans, the website, the catalog, the written materials and looked at several companies from every angle. I CHOOSE AURASTELLA. I think many people were surprised when I resigned from Silpada. I know I have made the right decision because my team has now grown to 77 members in only 6 months!!! They are in 22 states and even Canada (we can cross-border sponsor!) I am THRILLED! I encourage you to look at AuraStella if you are considering joining a party plan company or thinking about making a change. AuraStella is not a "copy-cat" company as being touted by some Silpada gals who are fearing for their businesses. AuraStella has been strategically modeled to attract beautiful jewelry lovers and focused business women. Competition is healthy in the business world and an integral part of what makes our country great! My top business reasons for choosing AuraStella: -ENORMOUS Growth potential-Ground Floor Opportunity!!! -BETTER Compensation Plan than Silpada's: higher commsssion rates -earn up to 35% on personal sales -up to 19% commission on 4 levels deep -For me, it is easier to book parties with a FRESH, NEW Line! More Parties=More Sales=More Bookings=More Recruits=Bigger Teams=MORE SUCCESS!

Good Question ChicaPlateada!
I have been with Aurastella for a little over a year and I personally know the rep who wrote this great article! She quickly climbed with Aurastella and became a serious leader and she was positioned quite well, however, my understanding is that she had family needs that took a priority and she felt she had to step away. She was my sponsors' Sponsor. We miss her, but understood and respected her decision.
